Danica is sushi payment for the razors? I'd bring him razors if he bought me sushi!

Sigh, it's Monday AGAIN! Where do the weekends go? I'm so sick to death of filing.

Princess has NOTHING on the calendar tonight, so we are having chicken pot pie and salad for dinner and maybe we'll watch a movie or something together. Feel like we've been moving in 30 different directions lately. It would be nice to spend some quality time together. I should run over to the Container Store after work, but I may not have the energy with all of said filing.

Tomorrow is the big day! Harry Potter!!!! I'll be at Best Buy when they open at 10:00 to get my movie! :wizard:

Good luck at the doc, Holly. Definitely not the most fun you'll have lying down :lmao:

Hope everyone has a good Monday!

Morning!
Woke up at 5 this morning, always have problems sleeping in December cuz the brain wont shut off. But I'd rather go to sleep earlier and wake up earlier than the opposite.

TB~good luck with appts! Please make them and take care of yourself.
AWM~ is this your first sn*w of the season?
ZTH~ is Oreo a cat or dog? Padfoot finds socks too, he's a dog.

I would like to share something with everyone if you all dont mind.
Unfortunately, like in many other communities, we have a school for the homeless in Phoenix. I say unfortunately because in a perfect world there would be no need.
For the past several years my GS neighborhood have been putting stockings, actually bags, together and giving them to a group and last year we gave them to the afore mentioned school.
I called in October to see if they would like us to do this project again and if there was anything they would like to have in the bags.
The office worker in charge said they were very grateful and what they needed most in the bags were hygiene items. I asked how many students and she told me that they would love 300 bags!
"Oh ye of little faith" here thought theres no way Im getting 300 especially with the economy. But I told her I would do what I could.
I have to tell you that on my list today is the second trip down to the school.
The first trip I delivered 100, today Im taking 125 and my son who gives up his room for this project floor is still pretty full, and so I can honestly say we have done over 300 bags!
"Ask and it shall be given".
I just wanted to share a nice Christmas story and as we all go into this very crazy time of shopping and everything else to let you know to keep faith in humanity even though someone might take that last parking spot you had your eye on!
I am very proud of my neighborhood!

List~
Delivery of bags
Christmas cards! (need I say more! Anyone remember the old song "The 12 Pains of Christmas"?
Have a great day!:hippie:

Hey, DISboard folks...want free cool clothes, Snuggies and socks? The last are probably a bit smelly if the dog is after them, but hey...they're free! Maybe I'd even pay you to cart the stuff away...! (Wouldn't it fix your hiney, if anyone came to haul these mountains away???)

AR - what a lovely family you are! What a marvelous difference you are making in the lives of many, many people!

The more I learn about you, the more of a truly remarkable woman I find you to be.

Pam

AR- what a nice story. hugs to you for doing such a good deed!

It's amazing what can be done when you put your mind to it. The scouts in town do "Scouting for Food" every year. They thought with the economy that the response would be low this year, which was hard, when the economy is affecting so many...They got TONS (literally) more food than they have in past years. I know myself that we could "afford" a couple jackets this year. While I would have loved to give more, I know the two I bought were definitely needed.

What's the statement, "there but for the grace of God go I?" I think people realize that there is a very fine line between a secure job and not.
