The Daily Grind ~ 12/5/11

Mornin' all!!! Hope this weekend was well for all. Got a lot done around here this weekend and have a lot to accomplish this week. I need to get these things done because the following week I hope to be swapping paper doll swap and DHS swap to mail on Saturday 12/18 and we have major ball games!!!


Today:
complete cutting the last 3 groups of DHS mini-kits 1 left to cut tomorrow; change in ball schedule puts a game tonight.. hello, who forgot to update the calendar & notify the parents!!! Have 1 to complete pmats and it's done completely!One group that needs embellishments cut for it...
redo one group of letters; got an idea last night tomorrow
empty and load dw
clean kitchen/DR
clean family room
clean bathroom
make each family members gift list for tomorrow
elf arrival this afternoon *they have been caught up in customs* held up one more day...due to change in ball schedule..they will arrive later tonight!


that's my list... got a lot of things to do but those are the must dos for today!

I'm working. Finally feeling a bit better, but still have a blocked right ear. If I don't feel it's significantly improved by this afternoon, I will call and see if they can give me a decongestant. Very annoying.

Tomorrow I've got some cleaning and errands to do. Everything has pretty much been pushed to the side, hoping I feel better. Gotta do it tomorrow. Slim Christmas this year, so I don't need to do too much, but do need to make some lists.

PU a gift card for Christmas Family
6 pm 4H Christmas party

OK- question - our 4H group adopts a local family each year. We do a tree and gifts. This year the family has 5 kids. I simply can't afford to buy 5 more gifts - do you think a grocery store gift card or a Target card is appropriate??

Or do you have any ideas for cheaper gifts for those kids??

I would think a Target GC would be a great idea...maybe add in a couple dollar gifts for each kid so they will have a little something to open!

Megan is home sick....didn't sleep well, all congested and started her period, so sent her back to bed, she's sleeping!

Josh had his blood test today, but doesn't know when he will get results...

Having a bit of a rough day all the way around! Nothing is going the way it is supposed to. Hope it all gets straightened out soon, phone and email inbox are going nuts.

DH just called to ask me what size my car engine is....um I have no idea, that is why I have you! He wants to do an oil change and needs this info. I don't even know how to open the hood, which is very bad! I have had the car for over a year and have not had any problems with it so I have not had to learn the basics yet. I think I need to learn...

Dinner tonight is take out as I was on the phone all afternoon.

Meeting at 7 hope this does not go all night.

Sigh, I called my doctor's office this morning to ask that a prescription be called in for a decongestant. As of 5:00, they hadn't. WTH? I'm sooooo tired. It's driving me crazy that I can't hear out of my right ear. I want to scream!
