It' The Day After Christmas! We are still celebrating! DsS27 and his DGF are coming over today for their Christmas.

We are expecting a substantial storm too! Some are predicting 12" of s**w and 40mph wind gusts!

My list for today:

DIS/FB

Subs for lunch, need to order and go pick up...

Gifts and subs at 1p

Today's goals.

get back on track eating right
gym and pool - have a GOOD workout
finish cleaning up the mess from yesterday - how can 6 "older"adults trash a place?
*not* cook
try out new cricut cart

They are forecasting anywhere from 12-24 inches of the white stuff for us. We're going off to the grocery store this morning. Have to pick up a few things so we don't starve being sn*wbound for a couple of days. DH wants to check out the after-Christmas sale at Target and Morgan's got a couple gift cards burning a hole in her pocket. I think she wants the Epic Mickey game. I guess the 5 games she got yesterday weren't enough.

Other than that, I'm parking my fanny on the couch and watching movies and playing games and reading.

They are predicting 10 - 14 inches here between this afternoon and tomorrow. Means getting the snowblower pulled out, batteries bought and just relaxing with new books and more knitting projects. I hate snow and must admit that having none has been the best - but, all good things must come to an end!!!

Teens slept until 830 yesterday! DS finally learned to slow down and not rip through every package and sis actually beat him in opening and had to wait for him! Loved it!
I agree with Linda, rough, rough year! It can be over now.
But even with that I am grateful for all that we have and even things that didnt happen.
No plans today except maybe a trip to Joanns.
And 2 pages! Always 2 pages!
Trying to gear up for that BAN wagon!

Hunkered down here too - waiting for the snow to start - supposed to be about 20 inches here by tomorrow. This morning, DD and I started watching Hoarders via Netflix (had heard about this show from TinkerBean, but hadn't ever seen it) - YIKES! We're both ready to start throwing gobs of stuff out now!

Also, late last night, finally got to sit down and enjoy opening Christmas cards - so many lovely handmade and/or photo cards from our DIS scrappy friends! Thanks, everyone!

Otherwise, a nice quiet day planned. Resting up to begin shoveling soon...!

I cannot watch hoarders! I used to think I was a bad packrat until I saw this popping up on Oprah and then the tv show and am very happy to say that I am no where that bad!
It gives me a feeling of claustrophobia or something similar.

It's a quiet day here. No snow here, but it's cold and windy and will be getting colder as the day progresses. Brrrr! We've been playing with our new toys. DH is playing a video game he got. DS is playing a video game he got. And, I'm trying to figure out my Ipod!! I'm so excited to have an ipod!!!! It's actually DS's old ipod touch. He ran out of space and I got him a new one for his birthday. He knew I've been wanting an ipod, so for Christmas, he took his old one and cleared a lot of his music off and put on music he thought I'd like. DH got me a dock to go with it. I've never had an ipod so I'm learning. I'm loving it so far!

This afternoon, DS is going "after Christmas" shopping with some friends. It's a group of girls so he should have an "interesting" day! DH and I are going to go to the movies to see the new "True Grit" movie. I love the John Wayne version, but the previews of this new one look really good.

DS18 had a snow (yeah, I said it) accident on the way in to work. He was really shook up, but he is fine now. His car is a mess. He hit the stop sign, nothing else. It's lucky there wasn't another vehicle there, and that the car didn't go in the ditch. He was able to limp it on back home, but it's not drivable at all.

Snow (yeah, I said it again!) is falling like crazy! We have a state of emergency for the lower half of the state, not for my half yet. Hopeing that DS22 makes it home without any mishaps!!

Oh no, Deb. I'm so glad he is alright. DH and I were talking about "kids" driving home from work in snow (yeah, I said it too) this morning. I would be a wreck worrying about my kid coming home in a storm.

It's snowing like crazy out there. We have a blizzard warning in effect until 6:00 pm tomorrow night!

Hope everyone had a good holiday!

We had a nice quiet day. Chinese food, presents, games. We did have some sad news - found out that the mother of DsD-22's ex-boyfriend (they are still close) passed away on Christmas Eve. Very sad for the family and DsD was pretty shaken up.

Made Breakfast Lasagna (a la Crystal Palace) for the girls this morning, which was a big hit. I did hit a few sales earlier today and was home before the storm started.

DH was supposed to get out at 5 but he just called me to say he'd be working (driving) till 11. And the blizzard conditions have started here. I really hate this. I will be worrying for the next several hours. (Glad your DH is okay, Deb!!)

So this is a new for me experience. I am posting from an airplane! Our plane is one of Southwest's wi-fi enabled planes. It costs $5 per flight segment. It's a little slow at times but not too bad.

Yikes about all the white stuff. I need to knock on wood, but we have had no accumulation so far this winter. Just a couple of flurries that didn't really stick.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas, but like everyone else I am worrying about Holly.

For those of you about to enjoy the storm that dumped 12 inches of rain out here - I am sorry. Please, please, please be safe.

DH, DDs and DStepDad are playing Haunted Mansion Clue - we are going out to view lights on Christmas Tree Lane. Then I think order Chinese Food. The thought of eating again is killing me. I hope my clothes still fit on our cruise!

Not really moved out of bunkhouse apartment yet - dryer here isn't working and neither is freezer in fridge we stored for 2 years. So having to do laundry down there. I think we will limp this fridge along this week and then empty it out and unplug it while we are gone - maybe we can attempt to coordinate a new delivery while we are gone??

Christmas cards....going to mail mine from Castaway Cay!! Needed one last picture of the new house at Christmas so I have ordered the cards. Going to beat my Easter timeframe so that is good.

hope everyone back east is warm and safe, just rain and wind here for a couple days.

had a quiet day, I slept until 8:30 !!! and Megan until 9:15, I guess the exaushtion and emotions finally caught up with us.
put presents away, straighted up a bit more, Megan and I did her kid swap for the surprise swap, got it all packaged up, did a load of laudry and packed for our trip to CA on tuesday.
been watching a few of Megan's new movies and hanging out tonight!

hope everyone is doing good, anything from Holly yet?
the sickies are all better and the s*** doesn't cause anyone else any problems
