I'm off today too Hope everyone had a GREAT day yesterday without too much drama.

I had surprise visitors yesterday, DS21's cute DGF's sister, BF and their cute baby came over for a while, and had brunch with us. I got to play with the baby Here's the kicker and learning experience for me and DH. We didn't have any "spare" gifts. So here we are opening our Christmas of excess, and making appologies because we didn't have anything for the sis's bf. They were broken up, and just got back together right before the holiday. I heard about it at 9p Christmas eve that they might be coming over. DS21 was supposed to take the baby's and the sis's gift over to their Christmas dinner, and I wasn't supposed to see them at all. DH and I felt sooooo bad! Plus they are struggling, and we have so much right now, DH totally got the guilties. But when we were young with a baby, we were struggling too... I had to remind him of that fact... Anyway, that was my bit of drama, otherwise, we had a great day!

My list for today:

Caffeinate

This repeats every day!!

Climb Mt Washmore... It's quite high right now

Go to Dover with DS17 for his monitor, and get the MS scoring board while I'm there. DH might be coming along too

Clean up and put away more Christmas gifts...

Work on beaded giftie

Dinner...leftovers...

Coffee and lots of it!

Put more laundry in.
Go get pups from Petsmart at 9.
Try to fix up bedroom. DH put new shelves in the closet and put everything from the closet on the bed. I got to sleep on the couch. I am glad he did just put things back haphazardly, but ugh, what a chore.
Not sure how long that will take.
Laundry will take many days.

Morning Ladies!
I'm up. i have not been on here in a few days and i missed my dis fix!

well today i will try to put my house back together. I'll take the tree down.
Bubba got a wii, so i'll ask dh to hook it up for him so we can play some games.
i also will try to climb mt.washmore. HOLY COW it looks like the laudry basket threw up!!!!
i'm so ready to put this year to an end.

bubba is sleeping right now and dh is having his coffee and watching an old western movie and the house is sooooo quiet. i think i'll go poke around the kitchen and find something yummy for breakfast and get my day rollin!

Good morning my DisFriends!

I got to sleep in until 7:30 this morning! What a luxury. I'm about ready for my second cup of coffee. Wishing I could have an eggnog latte.

We have NO plans today! DH's bro gives us all gift cards (usually VISA so we can use them anywhere), and I think Princess and DH's are burning a hole in their pockets - mine are for ACM and Dunkin Donuts, so I'm not in any pressing hurry to use them. I did, however, get one for the Paper Store and I'd love to go see what they have left for Mod Floral Pink.

As always, Princess got loads of stuff and gift cards and cash! She's a very happy camper. She's watching The Nightmare Before Christmas now.

Holly, I was thinking of you all day yesterday. I hope you were able to think of the good things and not miss ma too much. I'm here if you need a shoulder! Did DH survive his lead-lined shoes?

Ann, you must be excited to see the pups! I bet they'll be thrilled to be home.

Deb, that's a tough one. I'm sure they weren't expecting anything, but I can imagine how you feel.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and get loads of bargains if you're shopping!

Good Morning!

Today:
maybe go into town for some shopping - we were supposed to have the transmission rechecked from being put in but they told us to come in today and when we called for a time they said that they were closed for the weekend. Since we leave for our trip on Monday we asked what we should do and they just told us to stop somewhere along the way.- Great customer service I tell you.

finish Christmas gifts for SIL kids(they don't get them until the end of the week)
wrap gifts for family we will be seeing on the trip.
laundry to get ready for trip
wash dishes
church
bullitens
work on swap stuff
begin packing- try on new clothes for Christmas to see about taking them with us

Yep. That's right. 12-5:30am. Overnight floorset - it's Semi-Annual Sale tomorrow. Luckily, after that, I don't have any BBW hours until the 31st, so my sleep schedule can reset. Ughh... this is going to be fun.

i did miss ma so much yesterday. lots of tears. i took the pic that we used for her service and made a big one for my sisters and my nieces. they were over the top excited about it. i gave my nephew a pic of ma and him hugging and she kissing his face (more like smothering!) and he's 18 and cool ya know the type. long hair, plays in a band, way too cool and he bursted into tears and ran out of the room. dh said he was outside bawling like a baby. i went out to talk to him to say i was sorry for making him cry and he said "oh auntie are you kiddin'? don't ever be sorry. i just miss her soooo much!" it was a really nice moment for him and i. we was my life at one time. before bubba. both my nieces and my nephew were all i had. i spoiled them and loved them sooo much. not that i don't anymore, it's just different now. they are all grown up and now i have bubba to focus on. and my nieces kids. i now love and spoil all of them!

and yes dh did survive his new shoes! although he did not want to go fishing with me??? wonder why????
he did say he thinks my friend jenny from the block is way too funny!

I can't imagine why DH would not go fishin' with you. I have to tell you, I actually laughed out loud a couple times, texting you two. I'm glad he survived the day. I kept thinking of funny things to say, but they take too long to text! I need a new phone.

yes santa was sooooooo good to bubba. everything he wanted plus a few more!
he could not believe santa brought him toy story legos! i told him santa must know someone to get those! because they are brandy new.
he said it was one of his favorite gifts.
and
yes santa was good to me as well. he brought me a gypsy! and a gypsy cover with cherry blossoms on it! i love it! and some other scrappy stuff. a martha cardinal punch. ooooohhhhh. love it!

Yay for Santa! Of course, after the fact, I remembered that I had the Disney Store Toy Story reusable bag, they would have been great packaged in that! Oh well, it's all about what's inside the packaging!

Princess had a wonderful Christmas, she is very loved (aka spoiled!). She was shocked at the Zhu Zhu pets. She has loads and loads of money on gift cards to buy them accessories! I think her favorite gift was the sock monkey. I'm not sure if she's naming him Bobby Sock Monkey or Dexter after the monkey in Night at the Museum.

hey Bubba got night at the museum movies! we will have to watch for the sock monkey!

i have to say the the zhu zhu pets were a hit at my house. the kids just loved 'em! we will be looking for some accessories at target since he got some target coins!

Slept in - yea! - and now just puttering around.

Gonna re-reorganize (!) the scrap area - to fit in the new stuff and quietly claim yet a couple more square feet of space in the room (our former dining room!) for scrappy crap...shhhh...!

No plans - full refrigerator - lots of new movies to watch...new HPotter one and oodles from the library - everyone home (except Z2H who will be in and out with a crazy work schedule). Life is good!

enjoy time away from Grinch and Bah Humbug.. they started in the minute they hit the door yesterday.... after a good weekend the weekend before, I knew it was too good to be true... However, the 5 of us let it roll and didn't deviate from being a family. We included them in everything, if they wanted to be involved fine.. if not, than so be it... They did not once say thank you to either Mike and I.. ;( It is what it is...

I like Vanilla Noir, but not Warm Vanilla Sugar so much. And I get time and a half, just like if I was working normal Sunday hours. Which stinks.
