DH is going to try to stop up. We are working the same shift

10. Breakfast pizza & fruit salad for breakfast--I've been CRAVING this!

14. Nap time!
15. Get ready again
16. Go to my brother's for Christmas dinner with Blythe

18. Write thank you notes when we get home

open all our cards - laugh and cry a bit
have breakfast - swedish tea ring
open the couple gifties we received
pack up another tea ring and go down the street for brandy alexanders and neighbor gifts
come home
start dinner prep
take a nap or watch the Christmas parade on tv
work on dinner
guests come at 4
dinner at 5:30 - ham, potato casserole, cranberry waldorf salad, brussels sprouts w carrots, beets, pumpkin crunch or peppermint hot fudge sundaes
guests go home about 8
dh tidies up
crash.

We opened stockings between services last night and gifts after 11pm service. So DH is sleeping in while I help my parents get ready to head to my sisters.

Today:
decide if we are going to a friends for dinner and call and let them know(depends on when DH gets up)
bullitens
work on Christmas gifts for Monday
wrap gifts as they are finished

Morgan was up at 4:45!! I already need a nap. She had a great Christmas, as always. I got some CDs and movies, perfume, a pair of PJs, a Snuggie, and three charms for my bracelet. DH loved his cruise book, Morgan had a very crafty Christmas, lots of perler beads and pegboards, an American Girl pillow set, another set of beads with lanyards, a lip balm kit...Lots of books, a movie, a beautiful ballet sweater. Couple video games, including the Glee Karaoke, which she's kicking butt in.

I hope everyone has a great day with family and friends. Enjoy good times with those here, and remember fondly those who are not.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!


I have often heard of a myth where teenagers sleep in on Christmas morning and I am here to say that this sleeping creature is REAL!
It is 8am in AZ and they are both still sleeping and on top of that the dogs have not asked to be fed yet! I think I may be scared!

I hope all of you have a wonderful day filled with love. And for thise who cannot be with the ones you love for various reasons, please remember that they are with you and so is HE.

Merry Christmas and Jesus!!!!!

Santa has been here and we got tons A wii and games and Rachel got a refurbished Nikon D50 I got a gypsy (but I can't get it to turn on or charge ).

We had cinnamon rolls for breakfast and my folks will be here soon for sausage crepes, hasbrowns & pineapple for brunch. We're having chinese for dinner as the in-laws are sick and we were supposed to go there for dinner. I'm bummed that grandma is sick ,but, so happy we get to spend most of the day by ourselves

Merry Christmas everyone!! Lots of love from the Blinks!!

Had a great morning, the highlights were DS14 getting a nook, DS10 got a limited edition DSi in Mario green, DS9 got a limited edition DSi on luigi orange, DD got Elizabeth from American Girl, DH got a coffe mug that looks like a nikon lens and a ring made with gears(he likes to spin his ring) and I got a necklace from Tiffanys!!!!

We are headed up to Massachusetts now to visit dads family.

Merry Christmas everyone!!
last night was good, felt Jim's presence all day! Yummy dinner and lots of wonderful gifts, we were very spoiled!
Megan got my a cashmere sweater (get deal at Kohls she said) 2 santa ornaments, candy and red slippers -- also got 2 more ornaments, more candy, calendar, GC from mom, holiday candle and bracelet from rest of family.
Megan got a few American girl outfits, books, legos, game, 2 wii games and 6 dvd's, sweat outfit, jammies, slippers, 2 ornaments, purse and Disney GC
Santa "Mickey" also brought us each new jammies for when we go to WDW!

Today, made breakfast - WDWMickey's yummy french toast!!! opened santa gifts with my DNephew, they left around 10, so been cleaning up and opening packaging, gotta love all the plastic tags going to watch one of Megans new movies.

mom will be here around 2, heading up to BIL house, then to BFF tonight to celebrate her sons 10th bday!

Tired and wiped out, be over all a good, happy Christmas!!

boys were up a bit before 6 )i'm waiting for teenagerhood Rita (just the sleeping part)
see my peeking thread for santas answer and what not

day went well had lunch with family that we prepared ALL home grown food on our table except the rolls.

I got a new central vac (thank you lord ) some of the new photo wall holders can't wait to fill them, and jewlery I picked out from the boys.

mom got me a Coach purse and the E so I packed up the baby bug and put it under her xyrons in a giant bag. thought she was going to fall out of her chair laughing

I'm ready for a nap but won't bother at this point hopefully will get to bed in the next few hours.

I'm exhausted. Heading to bed shortly with my nook and a cup of egg nog.

Got to see Sophie. Oh, what a cutie pie! The toy I bought her isn't working so I have to go exchange it tomorrow. She sat on her GiGi's lap and I fed her vanilla ice cream. She got mad when it was all gone.

Morgan got plenty more gifts, including cash (always the right size and color), Target gift cards, Love's Baby Soft (groan, it brings back bad memories!), a gift certificate for the used book store, and a necklace from one of my sisters.

I realized on the way home just how lucky we are. We're healthy, we have a lot of friends and family who love us and who we love. I think my goal for next year is to live life to the fullest. I've got to come up with a word for that.

A lovely day.

Got to bed later last night than I would have wished (DS could simply NOT get to sleep!) and got up earlier - 6:30 a.m. - than I wanted. Had a great morning opening gifts with Z2H "here" on videocam - different, but still lots of fun. Snoozed on and off during the day, watched the Disney parade (!) and talked with far-away family on the phone, while the kids played with their new stuff.

Eating ourselves silly - and enjoying our fab new Apple TV and Netflix - having a ball rediscovering old BBC shows! Too cool!!!

Jennifer- we too, are blessed with so many things. Today was a quiet day to stop and savor that.

How did the little boy with the tonsils make out today? Is he feeling better?


I'm exhausted but I can't wind down - dinner turned out well and I even washed up the fragiles and silver afterward, usually dh's job. As I went around downstairs turning out the lights and the tree I thought you know we work so hard for this day for weeks and then it seems like in the blink of an eye, it's over. I want to hold on to this day, just a little bit longer.

On the other hand - i'm ready for this year to be over. So many of my friends have had terrible things happen to them this year - 3 friends with serious cancers, one got dumped by her husband - others with family troubles, unemployment, on and on - I want to draw a line under it. 2011 PLEASE be a better MUCH KINDER year for everyone.

I said almost this exact same thing to DH last night! I think my word of the year is going to be "joy". Not that I have to be joyful all the time--but remember the joy of living life to the fullest and not getting stuck on the negative or draining stuff!! I totally agree with this!
