Work on beaded giftie if I have time...so sad it's taking longer than I had hoped, but I'll get it to her in a day or 2.

Enjoy the pretty tree with the christmas explosion of gifts under it :teeth:

Dinner- :confused3

Have a Great Day Everyone!! :teeth:

Merry Christmas Eve!!!!!!! I'm just about ready for the fun to begin, I have a couple more presents to wrap and our big Christmas Eve dinner to cook and then it's fun time.

My day:
Clean up from wrapping gifts
Tidy kitchen & unload/load dishwasher
Work until 3 p.m.
Put ham in oven and make rest of dinner fixings
Wrap last few presents
Eat dinner
Family fun - we are doing a family craft night tonight. My guys aren't totally thrilled with the idea, but I got some Christmas kits (1 for each of us) and we're going to build them. They'll have fun once we get started. The hard part will be getting them to come to the table to play!
Help Santa get the gifts for DS to the tree

Have a wonderful Christmas Eve everyone!

Deb - It will be a great Christmas!
Stephanie - I love that idea with the Christmas kits! You have to show what they made! ;)

My To-Do's:
Up
Breakfast
Get ready
Work 9-2 (or 4 if they extend me)
Home

Lou's scrapbook - I have everything cut, but I need to do the journaling fancy and print it out, and then put everything in!
Put his Disney pin in with candy canes & a note
Wrap last few gifts (Yankee Swap gift, Lou's mom's presents, Lou's gifts, sister's and brother's gifts, anything else left.)
Dinner - steaks! :teeth:
Bring my presents for everyone downstairs

Go to sleep so :santa: can come. ;)

I am not sure what we are going to sell at work today - we sold our LAST giftcard last night about 30 minutes before we closed, and have none for today. We have about 10 (if that) giftsets left, and nothing left to "make your own." We even are running low on free plastic baggies! Not to mention the shelves are looking pretty empty...

This will be interesting. Haha.

Have a great day everyone!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas Eve to you too Stephanie (and everyone else!):santa:

One more day to spend, if we need/have/want to!:goodvibes
Love the craft idea. Did you get a good deal on kits at Ms, DIT?
I agree, post pics!

ZTH~ Wher do you work that there is nothing left? Instead of extending you, maybe they will send you home early?

Had a wonderful opportunuty yesterday to spend time with Bananas middleschool teachers family. I taught their kids when they were in preschool and he taught DS and now has DD. Went over to their house for 4 hours! Dont regret it at all but with this cold did not get as much done last night as I would have liked. But we have to take the opportunities when they areise and adjust!:thumbsup2
So, today.......

Finish DS gifts and stocking stuffers
nephew and his gf (soon to be fiance, I think) and take over to DS house

I think thats it for wrapping
make front room presentable for Santa (should have the DKs do that)
work on MT Wshmore in between wrapping

Everyone have a safe day today and make it happy and keep HIM at the center!

I'm not working! DH and I watched a movie this morning, Princess is at the computer playing a game, and I think he's going out shopping. Still on the prowl for some Zhu Zhu accessories!

I've got my wrapping done, I do need to bake a little today. I'll probably do that later. We have a tradition of driving around looking at Christmas lights and getting Chinese take out on the way home. We'll watch The Polar Express and put the little brat to bed so :santa: can come ;)

I hope everyone has a wonderful day and amazing evening with your families.

Merry, Merry Christmas!

Happy Christmas Eve, everyone!

As we're all caught up in the swirl and bustle of our Christmas activities and errands, I can't help but think often of 123SA (Susan) and her family. I can't imagine the sacrifices our military families make. I thank them for letting my family help out the troops in such a tiny way with card-making projects this year. I sincerely hope Susan's family will be all together again soon and for many more Christmases to come!

Getting to know all of you during this past year has been an incredible gift to Danica and me - you certainly enrich our lives and we look forward to meeting (and scrapping with!) as many of you as possible in 2010!

Have a great day, everybody!

Pam

Morning All!~

Ok I'm at work until noon! my house looks like a bomb went off in it.
I have no idea what time mr. po3 is working until.

Pam-I totally agree with your thoughts on Susans family. I tried to explain to bubba that we are very lucky that other people put our country first for our safety. and i ALWAYS tell him to say "thank you for serving our country" when we see military people.

Merry Christmas to all!

Jennifer let me know if you find zhu zhu stuff!

I was thinking of Susan's family yesterday (specifically) and other military families as well. I have a nephew in the Air Force who is away from his very young son this Christmas. I am so thankful for those who sacrifice so much so we can be safe and live our lives in freedom. Thank you, Susan, for your husband's service to our country and your sacrifice of not having him home on the holidays. Hugs to you and yours!

No Z-squared stuff at Walmart. He brought me home some Cricut markers he found in the clearance stuff though. One was marked $7 and the other weren't marked, but they ran up at $15. He didn't notice until he was done though. I'll go back at some point and return them, if they won't price adjust.

Thinking of Susan and her family this holiday season too.

I was watching a commercial this morning where they show the military unit in a desert and it begins to snow. The soliders are overjoyed. Then they cut to a family in the US and the mom asks the little boy,"What did you wish for, for Christmas" and he answers "Something special for Dad". Hence the snow in the desert. I burst into tears - choking up even thinking about it now. Thank you to all of our military families.

Crazy day today. I am bribing my children with "double point day" (thanks PBF). They earn points for helping me with chores and they get to cash them in for...cash. I tell ya - it works great. Max vacums for 100 pts per room. And he is quite anal about it (one of the pluses of a perseveration for me of Asperger's Syndrome;)) cheaper than the cleaning service. The bean dusts and windexes but only up to 4ft high:laughing:. If I can only get them to swish and swipe - I'd be able to sit around and eat bons bons from now on:thumbsup2

Have a great Christmas Eve everyone.

AWM - I think you are travelling today - be safe.:flower3:

Rhonda

Merry Christmas Eve!!

Today we aren't doing too much. Our DD was born on this evening 10 years ago!! So we are double celebrating.

DH went to the storage unit to find the stockings
and now reports having to "run to the store" - hope he is getting me something:banana:

Dinner will be tri tip
Maybe go look at Christmas lights tonight
Riding lessons at noon
Trash to the dumpster
and WRAP, WRAP, WRAP

Everyone have a glorious Christmas!!

TinkRyansMom--Happy Birthday to your DD!!

I'm late to the party today! I've been playing with DS all day! DH just got home from work, and he and DS are taking a nap. I've got to go get ready and then it's off to the IL's I go. Should be an interesting evening, but I'm borrowing Deb's philosophy--it's going to be a GREAT two days, I refuse to stress!!

I do have a list, though, still left, so here goes:

1. Get me ready
2. Finish hash brown casserole and bake
3. Get DS & DH ready
4. Get gifties together for tonight
5. Get tea for tonight
6. IL Christmas
7. Come home
8. Put on Christmas pj's (mine are FABULOUS with HUGE Christmas-dressed owls all over them!) and read "Twas the Night before Christmas"
9. DH & I exchange gifties? Not sure about this one. We usually exchange on Christmas Eve, but I'm not sure if we'll wait until tomorrow.
10. Put away stuff from IL Christmas
11. Straighten living room--Santa likes a clean place to deliver!!
12. DS to sleep!
13. Make sure Santa can get in and do all of his magic!
14. Get geared up for tomorrow!!

My not-so-friendly monthly visitor came TODAY. Seriously? She couldn't wait until TOMORROW when it's Christmas with MY family and they already think I'm hostile?? :rotfl2:

Sending prayers to all of our military families and also to those of us traveling this holiday!! Love you guys!!

Stephanie - I love that idea with the Christmas kits! You have to show what they made! ;)

Love the craft idea. Did you get a good deal on kits at Ms, DIT?
I agree, post pics!

This is the first time we've done a "family" craft activity on Christmas Eve, but I think it'll be fun. I may even make this a monthly event! Rita, I got the kits at M's because people kept coming through my line with them and I finally couldn't stand it anymore! They were only $3.19 each since they were on sale so they are an inexpensive family activity. Normally, we watch Christmas movies and read Christmas stories (and we'll still do those), but I thought this would be a fun way to do something together. I'll post pics when we're done!

Rita - I work at Bath and Body Works.

I. Am. So. Sick.

Last night I was eating chips at work, and after eating them, my throat felt weird - I thought I had one stuck in there, and it was bad the whole night, even after drinking liquids and coughing a lot... so then I went to bed, and woke up this morning with my throat still hurting, chills, aches, etc. And I had to go to work. And then they extended me, while telling me I looked awful. Thanks..... So I think I have a cold or something... I was able to eat some cookies today without it hurting that much, so I don't think it's an infection from a scratch - I hope not!

I want to finish up what I need to do and go to sleep!!!!

OK, I've got a lot done.. kids each made a batch of cookies..
The kids got their elves 1/2 packed for their pick up tonight..
Note to Santa from the Blink family (they forgot cookies, so we are covering for them w/ a letter!)
Note from our family (DS9 is into this).
DS9 is taking photos of everything! I should have a lot to choose from
DH is actually helping me cook (:faint:); seriously! Really, you are honoring me w/ your assistance! Oh the shock! (Yes, I am giving him a hard way to go about this!)

Alright, I probably won't be in again tonight.. We have a Wii tournament at 7pm.. And Mommy plans to kick some hiney and show the kids whose BOSS!! Enjoy your evenings with your family and have a Merry Christmas!!!

DH had subs fordinner and a Margarita waiting for me when I got off work today! Then we finished the wrapping, and the kids put all the gifties under the tree, and stuffed the stockings...

DH helped me make the Monkey Bread, and now I'm going to bed
