It's Sunday!! Everyone enjoy the rest of your weekend!

The verdict on the pie was that for my first attempt, it was very good, and I need to practice on both of them to perfect my pie making abilities Honestly, it was runny, but the flavor was good, those were the true reviews...

I didn't get my hair done yesterday, DS21 and his DGF went to the mall...no phone call, no note. I made dinner, they got home at 7:30...I was steaming . I didn't care if it was last night, I just felt a phone call was in order. DS21 and I will be having a "discussion" about this soon. They then went out again, and when he was leaving he said she wanted to do my hair tonight... I was "well, we'll see"...




My list for today:

Dinner... NOT COOKING!! Seems we have leftovers from last night that people better eat tonight!

Good morning, everyone!! Today is our Thanksgiving with my family! Yesterday was the cook/prep day, today is the eating day!! Woohooooo!

Here's my list for today:

3. Scrap a couple of pages
4. Get ready
5. DS & DH up
6. DS breakfast
7. DH iron
8. DS & DH ready
9. Go to my mom's
10. LOTS of food, LOTS of pictures!!
11. Put pics on computer & order when we get home
12. NAP!!! Hoping DS will take one!
13. Get DS's clothes & food together for this week
14. Watch DVR'd show
15. Go to sleep sort of early!

Brooke ~ were you able to get into the other hairdresser?

Well, we are getting family photos done at 2pm.. .I have 2 boys whining like sissy babies about it.. It's not like I do this all the time.. once every 2 years... It's not like it's really that big of a deal. I finally told DH last night in front of all the kids, that this will be our last family photo at the rate it is going and that I was very sad about it... My kids immediately chimed in that it wasn't our last family photo cause they'd go anytime... (gotta love them to try to make mommy feel better).. of course we got the eye roll from the other two.... This to shall pass... I will NOT allow this to get to me...


Need to finish laundry

I think that is about it.. I've got to go get DD's hair done...

Well, photos are done... the last photo was the best photo.. the two older boys moaned and groaned the entire time.. the photographer when finished told me that she could tell who the rebellious ones were...and that she was impressed that DH and I retained our cool considering their behavior... I was so embarrassed.. I was NOT so nice in the van on the ride home... I told them that there behavior was unacceptable and that it would NOT happen again... I than burst into tears I was so upset. So, to cheer myself up, I made them go on a shopping spree for ME... I need new blue jeans so they all had to stand by the cart while I tried them on... They wanted to go watch the ball game in electronics, NOPE, not gonna happen..

We are now home and they are in their rooms (as they are NOT allowed to have TVs in their rooms)... bummer...

Awww, Nan, I'm so sorry! I hope the pictures turned out well!

I didn't get in to the other hairdresser, but I did shampoo my hair 4 or 5 times. After that, DH, my mom and dad all said it looked good, so I guess it's ok!

nan I know what you mean about kids. L was so bad yesterday I was in tears and that sent me into a full blown pity party everyone had a place to be yesterday but me and I couldn't even enjoy my alone time. Glad they got what they deserved.

Sorry to hear the boys made today so difficult and congrats for finding ways to make them suffer for their lousy attitudes.

The only thing I might have added (old evil me!) - - would have been to also make them pick me up a few things from the feminine hygiene aisle (whether I needed them or not!)!!! Oooooo...major male cooties there!

Hope they step up and find a way to say they are sorry for their behavior - but whether they do or not - hang in there!!!

Tanks for the birthday wishes- our dinner at Citricos was very good- dessert was amazing. Later we went up to the Top of the world lounge. Lovel place t spend some time. I enjoyed the atmosphere- kind of a serene place. We tried their BLT flatbread and it was amazing, we watched the fireworks from up there. Nice show but you could definitely see how far behind the MK the fireworks are (as DH couldn't even get the castle an fireworks in the same shot with our big lens).

Nancy- glad you were able to punish the boys a bit for their behavior.

On the other hand getting my birthday giftcard was a breeze but then we decided to go ahead and renew our annual passes. There were a variety of machine failures and the sweet girl taking care of us didn't want to bother the manager when the first one happened so we eventually got them (45 minutes later) and then had to run to get to dinner. We were few minutes late and a little frazzled when we arrived but Citricos was really good about it and helping us calm down a bit- it probably heped that we were one of the first reservations of the night.

If you like cheesecake - Citricos Lemon cheesecake is to die for by the way.
