It's Saturday!! First day of the weekend!! Whatcha doin today?

Just a few things on my list. I made the apple pies yesterday, and am taking 1 in to a coworker who was over the top helpful to me at work the other day. I wanted to make him some cuppi-cakes, but he goes and tells me that he likes pie, especially apple. Yikes, I've never really made an apple pie, but I'll give it a go So, I'm crossing my fingers that I didn't flub it up on my first attempt! I did make one for home too...DH would have had a fit if I didn't, he loves all that is pie. But he didn't get try it yesterday, he was working... I tried a piece, but I'm not a good judge...

My list for today:

DS21's Cute DGF is supposed to come and do my hair this afternoon, so I'll look well maintained for the holiday season

Dinner... Some kind of casserole thing with ground beef I guess...

I'm up!! Meeting my friend for a quick breakfast at Panera. Princess has dance at 1:00. I will probably do some cleaning and laundry between breakfast and dance.

We desperately need a new vacuum. But have been putting off getting one. Maybe today will be the day!

Our Junior troop is going to see a community theatre production of The Wizard of Oz tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to that!

Deb, that's very sweet of you to make apple pies. I've tried and failed a couple times to make pies. I'll stick to cookies and cakes and brownies! Have a good day at work (bah!).

Good morning, everyone!! I love Saturdays! I especially love my few minutes of quiet time on Saturday--no cleaning, just coffee & DIS AND it comes at 7:30 and not at 4!!!

Here's my list for today:

1. Up
2. Caffeinate
3. Wash load of towels
4. Put out DS's breakfast for DH
5. Put out DS's clothes for DH
6. Get ready
7. Go get my hair done (great minds think alike, Deb!!)
8. Come home
9. Fold laundry
10. Lunch with DH & DS
11. Nap!
12. DH--Target
13. DH--post office
14. Call mom about Thanksgiving tomorrow
15. DH & DS to grocery store
16. P365 pic
17. I scrap while they're at grocery store!!!!!
18. Go to sleep sort of early! Thanksgiving with my family tomorrow!!!

I need to do a few things.. I was going to run errands but I'm putting those off til tomorrow and Monday (just because I can)..

Today:
Find shirts for Family Photos (2 sson's are NOT happy, oh well, sorry it's not like I do this all the time, every 2 years. Smile and get it over with~)
Make sure DD is ready to go out w/ friend today for movies and shopping...
verify and pull all documentation needed for her license on Dec 1. (yup, getting myself ready in baby steps!)
DH to maybe finish west wall today... If this room is painted by Turkey Day I'll be shocked!

My to do list:

Slept in. Felt great sleeping till 7. Last night I worked at the H1N1 Clinic as the greater. I was pooped when I got home so the sleep was heaven.
Take DD for her blood draw
Out for breakfast
Grocery Shop for DH's last race of the season party tomorrow
Throw a load of laundry in the wash
Attempt putting some of the clean laundry away
Bring rescue kitty to the vet. Poor thing is 3.5 pounds and older than we first thought. Even the vet thought he (yes, he is a he) was about three months based on his size. When she examined his mouth, she found he has his adult teeth. Poor thing is so badly malnourished.

So today, I went to get my hair done. Keep in mind that Thanksgiving at my mom's is TOMORROW and Thanksgiving with the IL's is Thursday, so this is my "holiday hair". I told her that I wanted to take "some of the blonde" out of it. I had light blonde and medium blonde. She said, "Ok, I'll take the lightest one out". Somehow, this all got lost in translation (or in waiting on the other customer to get his hair cut before I came out of the dryer), and my hair is DARK!!!!!!!!!!!! I am now a Goth/EMO chick. And it has little stripies. Bet our pics tomorrow look GREAT!!

I love the turkey, Deb!!

The lady that does my color is a very nice lady, but when she's done with my hair, she never fixes it like I do (that's ok--doesn't bother me). So, when she took it down, she just ran a flatiron through it and then brushed it straight back. I just thought, "ok, it's a little dark, but oh well". When I got home, I brushed it and fixed it the way I do, and the stripies appeared!!

We went to the mall last night and got some eye makeup (my old one WILL NOT work with this hair). The lady there gave me the phone number of a lady in the town where we live who they use to do hair at their makeover sessions. (Keep in mind I know the lady at the makeup counter, she wasn't just being weird!) I think I'm going to call that lady today and see if she can work me in. I know my mom won't say anything about it today (she knows how upset I am), but I would LOVE to have it fixed before the IL's and DEFINITELY before WDW!!

I am soo sorry Brooke.

I got my "holiday hair" done on Friday too. It is much shorter than I wanted and it doesn't have the angle I was looking for. It is super short in the back with two longer pieces in the front. I wanted the angle from the back to the front. There is no angle. Just a huge step. I can't cut the sides off because the back is so short I'll look like a mushroom cap.

Hope you are able to make the color something you can live with. I'm thinking a scarf is needed for me.

Now that mine has been styled the way I like it, I like mine more.. .I was really upset the other day, hence no photos went out in PMs.. DH likes my hair today so I'll have him take a photo..

So sorry everyone has had bad hair cuts this month... NOTE to all of US.. NO haircuts in November!
