Good Morning, Ladies!


Carpets and sofas and new houses and new floors! How exciting There'll always be another sale.

Up way too early, but I *do* have a list

Gym & pool
take photo of fellow cruiser at pool to post on website
stop at co-op for eggs and a newspaper
make breakfast
wrap packages to ship
generate list and plan route for tomorrow's errand run (we're getting a standby generator installed which means no power and no heat. I decided it would be smart to be out - ALL day!)
make lunch
finish shoe project
make dinner
put away scrappy stuff from the weekend - yes this is the 4th day that is on the list and it hasn't been done yet.

Eldest is still home. He can't move without a tissue next to his nose. He is terribly embarrassed about it. Middle school can be rough.

Little Bit is doing much better. The antibiotics are doing the trick.

Mine still almost there. You know. That feeling right before you get sick. You're tired, grumpy, tickle in the throat, weird feeling sinuses. I'm hoping it doesn't progress from here. I can take a few more days of this if I can keep from getting the full blown sore throat.

Not sure what will get done today. I hate the thought of handling all the clothes if I will be passing germs on them. Or the clean dishes. Oh hay, I bet dusting and vacuuming should be out too.

Not working today so it will be a great day! Got to sort the nuts and candy for girl scouts. Little bit of shopping here and there for my Canadian friends (they can't get Jo's stacks up there) and we need a couple meal ideas. I'm so sick of shopping all the time.

Good morning!! Yippeeeee for Thursday--just think. . .this time next week, it'll be THANKSGIVING! ANNNNNND a month til Christmas!

Thanks for all of the well-wishes for my mom. When they took the bandage off yesterday, she still couldn't see, and when I talked to her this morning, it was the same. The doctor thinks it still may clear up, so we'll hope!

This seems like such a busy, busy time for everyone! Y'all's lists make me tired!

Here's my list for today:

Just got back from the allergy doctor. It is allergies for the Eldest. I'm glad it isn't strep for him. He got his shot and some extra medicine to get him through this patch. He has forgotten to take his nose spray, even after I reminded him to take it , and that is what cause this to get as bad as it is.

Jennifer - do you have a base scone recipe?? I have been wanting to try and figure out how to make cranberry orange scones.

Rebecca- thanks for the kind words on the sofas - today they are $100 more each so I cost us $200. I know its not alot of money but we had waited for this sale and I blew it playing with the girls in the park and over scheduling my day. Its all good.

Our new home is just about done!! Carpet is down!! Job foreman has been working on his "pre-walk" punch list - things he has seen that need to be fixed. Then we get to do it.

Coordinating new furniture is proving tough. Girls new beds will be here within the week. Mattresses - December 9th DOH

Now to buy that cute chair for the bay window in the Master Bedroom or not....perhaps I will go look at it again.....

TRM - the recipes I used are here - I imagine you could substitute the orange and cranberry. Banana Scones and Pumpkin Scones. I didn't do the frosting for the pumpkin ones, I just didn't think they needed it. Huh, just realized I forgot the egg in the pumpkin ones - they taste fine without it!

Oh, there's a bunch here, Orange Cranberry Scones.
