Wishing everyone a Happy Halloween!

My boys have officially outgrown Halloween..

Prayers and pixie dust to all those in need. Continued prayers to those who are cleaning up from Sandy's destruction. Dad is still trying to reach or extended family members in NJ/NY.

I've decided to take a "me" day today and try to get some scrapping down.


So my list is short

boys up and off to school
grocery for some quick needs
small nap
scrap
pick up boys
finish what I started
boys to clean their rooms
dinner
enjoy quiet evening (our neighborhood is always missed because we live in an older adult neighborhood w/ no kids at home).

Work
kids to carve pumpkins
pick up candy for trick or treaters (can't leave it in the house, too tempting!)

had Richard home sick yesterday, got nothing done, basicly sat by him & read a Disney guide book
today dress up for work
boys are going to school in Halloween shirts (better take a pic this morning)

not sure if I'm going to pass out candy or not - it is either lots of kids, lots of teens (from the smaller towns around us late) or very few - haven't bought any yet

Good Morning and Happy Halloween!

Bought my candy Monday and on sale - yay! Get about four bags of candy's worth of kids coming thru our neighborhood so I will get some trick or treaters

Happy Halloween!

Megan is going out TorT with a friend from dance, going to be a 80's girl, probably be her last time out!

P & PD for all in need....still haven't heard from friends on Long Island

I will be at school for the 4 hours today selling tri-fold boards for the 7th graders biz expo projects, not sure what I will get done since Megan will be home early, heading to friends at 6 for TorT, looks like its going to be a wet, yucky night!

I'm at work. Morgan is going TorTing with a friend (I'll go too, there's a whole group of them that go together), hopefully, the rain will hold off. She's dressing as Honey Boo Boo from Toddlers & Tiaras, where we first learned about her "Go-Go" juice (she's a cowgirl with a Mt. Dew bottle and a teacup piggie).

We don't get any trick or treaters, so I don't buy any candy. Sophie came over last year, but I don't think her mom is bringing them over this year, Ryan is sick

Traffic getting here was horrible this morning. Lots of limbs and stuff down, saw a couple HUGE trees that look like they broke like twigs. Scary stuff.

Happy Halloween everyone. Hopefully more treats than tricks today


A quick shower and drop off kids at school. Working at my 2nd grade Halloween party and then off to grandmas for a spooky dinner and trick or treat time! Hoping we can get, but the temps are freezing here.
I enjoy taking the kids. Love seeing the costumes and call me nosy, but I love seeing all the houses in and out decorated and festive for Halloween! My hubbie always laughs when I say that!
Also, hoping to curl up with my book, Left Neglected after the kids head to bed-might even ransack their candy bags for some mom treats!!

Be safe everyone and will continue to pray for all those devasted by mother nature. I have to say thanks for the welcomes-I am enjoying this!!

Happy Halloween friends! I too have ones too old to TorT but last fall we moved into a mobile home park and for the second time every in my life I will be passing out candy.. I bought 2 HUGE bags so hope that holds for the rush of kids...

FINAllY heard from our friends in Long Island....am a bit ticked at my BIL he had heard from one of them on Monday and never passed the word to us...stupid man

they are all safe, lots of flooding in their basements and two of their neighbors lost their houses to the 11 foot surge so there are lucky not to have lost their house.

Got the pumpkin steaming to make puree, the kiddos were nice enough to separate the good from the stringy. I see pumpkin pancakes in our future.

Happy Halloween! Baby Yoda is absolutely adorable!

I just got home from work a little while ago so no giving out of candy here. I did dress in costume for work which is always fun. I've been dressing in different costumes since Saturday so it'll be strange tomorrow when I have to wear my normal uniform. Nothing much exciting today except work. I did finally get to sit down and talk with our interim store manager and I'm feeling much better about things. I met up with the old store manager this morning to take him a few things he'd left at the store. It was good to see him and give him a hug since I wasn't able to say goodbye to him before he left last week. He's a great guy and a wonderful manager. The store just doesn't feel the same without him there.
