My DH suggested we set up skype so he can talk to her and she can see him every day-don't know why I didn't think of this before. Tonight we are having the talk with her and telling her the "C" word so keep us in your thoughts. The school counselor thinks it'll be better for her to understand if she can put a name to his illness.
Holly thanks for remembering my BIL. I need to update the thread about him, there's just been so much going on with him lately. He's in his 3rd week of chemo. He's been in & out of the hospital about 5 times in the past 3 weeks for dehydration, pneumonia, blood clots in his lungs, now they are saying his immune system is down to nothing. I can't go visit him since I have a cold, and his DD is asking about him constantly and doesn't understand why we can't go see him.

And did a lot of talking about it with DH, who was actually engaged in the planning for once! Normally he's a "you decide everything, I'll just show up" sort of traveler. Let's see how long this lasts!
