Hope everyone is warm and dry. it was nice having the AC off, even if it was just for a day, hahaha! Still cool now but will probably have to turn it back on later this afternoon.

Today
Dust and clean downstairs
Vacuum
Mop downstairs floors
Create packing list for next weekend getaway
Brush down kitty beds
Call about tennis
Call BJs to schedule tire rotation 305-508-3000 (called 6 times yesterday and no one answered!!!)
Work on family or scrap
Stir fry chicken and rice for dinner tonight

The boys are home for another day.. I think they are over it..

Say prayers that DH and PJ make it to school safely.. they left a few minutes ago.. and that DH makes it back home safely. She is upset she can't take her car back but the roads are just not safe. We will drive her car down to her this weekend when it's in the 40s... and the fact that it will be just sitting in a parking space holding the pavement down as she is in meetings starting at 5pm tonight till Sunday afternoon. I know it's just knowing that she has a car but her Aunt L (my sorority sister) leaves just a mile from campus and can get to her....

Today:

try to keep my nerves calm
DS13 to type up 4 more paragraphs for his project
DS13 to type up information for the board (if he is smart he will realize he can cut and paste some of his info from his paper!)
move my car and get some more snow away from between our cars
watch to see if we have school tomorrow
remind DH to stop on his way back north for milk and soda (we still have enough for a few days)
once over house and try getting some of the outside gear put away in the basket instead of drying all over the house.

I hope everyone has a great day and stays warm. I'm looking forward to getting back to some normalcy soon.

Safe travels for PJ and her dad

I have spent 2 hours at the hospital for my CT so far today. Now they've sent me home to drink contrast and return in about 2 hours. So NOT how I was planning on spending my day!

Cheryl -- good luck with the rest of today.... at least you will know where to go from here and healing soon!

PJ and DH are back on campus. Roads were patchy in some areas especially near where the "ice queen" moved to but once you got about 2 hours from here PJ said there was next to nothing on the roads or ground.. it was like you could see the line of the storm.
DH hopes to get back home tonight but said he would not push it with his health so if he felt the need he would pull off and grab a hotel.

I got the drive cleared to the best of my ability... got a good portion of the snow in front of the drive also away from my house... all the cars are totally cleared off.. now lets keep it that way!! The boys helped a little but I did most of it just to keep my nerves in check.

Good to hear Nan - a good work out (like shoveling snow) always helps keep
you calm and your mind focused elsewhere. Wishing DH a safe journey home!

DH finally got home about 7:30pm.. He said it took almost an hour to get from the interstate to our main road where he stop for our few needs. He said the roads are HORRIBLE!!

They did call school again tomorrow... but DS17does have to work but we don't know if it's another time or if his scheduled time.. regardless I am driving him...

1 snow day left... we need to wish this stuff away and no other issues...
