Good Morning!

Hope everyone up north is warm and dry. Can't believe how insanely cold our country is going to be over these next couple of days!! The front will arrive here later this afternoon. Today's high is supposed to be 86, tomorrow's high 56!!! 30 degree difference in 24 hours - crazy!

Nan - glad to hear school was cancelled!

Change out towels
Laundry
Dust and clean upstairs
Vacuum
Vacuum stairs and dust stairwell
Steam clean stairs
Empty trash
Get Christmas photos from Bestie
Make a couple of business phone calls
Scrap 2-4 pages
Pasta for dinner
Watch Downton Abby (recorded!)

Good morning all!

We aren't in the worst of the winter weather, but our high yesterday was 51 and today's high was 20...and it hit around 2 a.m. It's only going to get colder here today, with a low of 5. Yuck! School was canceled today due to the heavy rain we had last night that froze on the roads when the temps dropped, and a little snow on top of that, so I'm off today!

Today's list:
Unload/reload dishes
general pick up in the downstairs
Run sweeper downstairs
Maybe Clean upstairs bathroom
Send DS13 out to DH wood shop for kindling, just in case electric goes out tonight

That may be it for today. I've had a headache and bad sore throat since Saturday night. The headache comes and goes, but the sore throat has been constant. I don't know if I can get to the walk-in clinic today or not due to the icy roads, and my regular doc is an hour away (not even trying that). May tough it out here another day.

Good Morning!

It's 9:45am and the temp is a balmy -14 degrees and the wind chill is -40!

Thankfully they called of school today.. We will have to see if they call school tomorrow because according the forecast moments ago at the time the kids should catch the bus/drive mine to school it will be -13! My kids are all currently sleeping.

Tomorrow we will have to get DD back to school.. We will follow her down or DH will drive her down and she'll be without a car till the weekend when the weather is better.
We have to get her back to school tomorrow as she has meetings starting Wednesday for her job.

Today:
scrap -- been digging out cars every 30 minutes/ can only work 10 minute windows
make sure boys are ready for possible school tomorrow --- canceled tomorrow too.. now to mark calendars because our built in days will be used.. we only have 3 left and then it screws with graduation...
make list of phone calls for Tues/Wed (depends if I get to travel to take PJ back or not)
attempt to start and warm all 4 cars later this afternoon and clean them off (if not 3 for sure) -- one of 4 started so far as we have to clear the snow away from exhaust pipes... one thing at a time!


I hope everyone has a good day.. Those of you in the wicked weather stay warm.. seek shelter if you need to elsewhere especially if your power goes out. We are waiting to hear from BIL to see where he takes his family too as they are w/o power and their drive has drifted shut.. they were under blizzard warnings there late last night.
