We are waiting for the icy weather to hit....so I told DD I would be driving tonight since our meetings are acrossed the street from one another... My gosh.... you would have thought I took her birthday away!!! I'm sorry..but when it comes to your safety... I still rule!!! PJ has been driving for 2.5 years and a year on her own.... I know she wants experience...but I don't...

I better get the kids movin' on homework because we probably won't find out til 5:45am if there is a delay or cancellation..

Nan--I completely agree!!! DD has a snow emergency kit in her car and has been told if I ever catch her driving without clearing all her windows or telling me where she's going she loses her driving priveledges(sp?) for 2 weeks. I know--totally over protective, but, that's my job at least until she graduates from high school

AR, congrats on 2 new cars and DS driving. It's hard to let them go and drive.

Cheryl, I'm overprotective with my DS too. He's been driving on his own for a little over 2 years now (with a year of practice before that with us in the car). He has to always let me know where he's going and must always text when he leaves someplace and gets to his location. He thinks it's lame, but he knows it's either do that or no car.

Hit my Jan scrapbooking goal today! Now to take a break, do some organizing, figure out dinner, finish up the baby boy album for the Realtor.

Oh and send Loser another letter about how I dont care how much stress I am causing him by not forcing DD into counseling right now and that I will continue to take my sweet time until I find her someone that she will be comfortable with. BLAH!

So storm is in full swing... LOL... freezing rain, sleet, pellets ... been about 2 hours.. started as I had to pick up DS14 from practice so only in it a few minutes.. all the meetings were canceled... School has no delay or closing so the kids are still doing their work and going ahead with normal routine as we don't know what is going to happen..probably won't know until about 5:45am...

Ok, off to see who is going to do what now.. DS10 is finishing his vocab words.. He didn't have them assigned but he was being a pickle earlier so I pulled out homework for him to finish!

Exactly Nan. I thought I was gonna die of laughter when I got his little note. Oh and that I should understand that he has missed so much of her life and doesn't want to miss anymore. BLAH! give me a break. I have an interview with a counselor on the 7th. So he just has to wait. But I already warned him that if he continues to push that I will haul him back to court as the judge specifically said not to force it. And come on seriously, I am not dropping everything in our lives to accommodate him.

I just use really big words and that seems to keep him at bay for awhile. Sheesh. I think DD may lose interest in him fairly quickly, because I cant come up with anything that they would have in common. Hes not in to that book learning stuff, and I doubt he's even read 1/4 of the books that she has. She is currently working her way through A Midsummers Night Dream, and like 3 other book series. Loving that Kindle.

Just wanted to clearify that it is only ONE car but that I get to drive the new one too.
I have taken advice about driving from a couple of you and appreciate it all very much. You will text when you leave/arrive somewhere and priviledges can be taken away, license or not.

Hi All, we are back!

Lodge was fun, but in Megan's words "mama, we aren't water park people" she didn't want to go on the BIG slides, so we only used the park for about 3 1/2 hours and she was done....so not the weekend we thought, but still had fun!

hope all the sick ones are feeling better...
the s*** and ice one are home cozy and warm...

and Rachal, wow, he has a lot of nerve!!! glad to hear your sticking up for yourself and the girls!!! He better watch out or the mama lion will eat him and spit him out!
about using big words, maybe he has to look them up ...stick to your guns about this, luckily the courts are on your side...plus we are too!!!

off to see what else I missed over the last two days...had 40 emails too!
