Well, hello FRIDAY!

Prayers and pixie dust to all those in need!

I'm up at o'dark thirty since the big kids had the 6am shift at work today. So we were up and moving by 5:15am. They were out the door by 5:40am. DH was up with us too because he was worried about the road conditions for the kids. They got to work with no issues... (work is only 4 blocks from the house).

Today we will be prepping for our winter storm coming in again this weekend.. 6-12 inches expected on Sunday. :( Then negative double digit temps as the kids return to school. Unfortunately I do not believe our super will take heed and be proactive to even delay school for 2 hours. :( Makes me glad I drive my kids to school but very sad for the families who don't have that option.. I hate to see the kids waiting at the bus stop freezing. Say a prayer for a window of opportunity for us to get DD back to college without snowing/bad road conditions. I need to touch base with my sorority sister who lives a mile from campus to see what her weather reports are saying for DD/our drive.

So the big thing that must be done today is a grocery run along with everyone else in the state...but it is our regular grocery day... I need some other items too but may send that list to DH to grab on his way home.

Grades finally all checked in: all 3 kids rocked!! DD made Dean's list: boys both made honor rolls!!

Today:

up
kids up and off to work
DH up and off to work

make DH's lunch
ck DIS/FB/email

finish up :laundy:
grocery run -- must do after the kids get back
check all the cars and make sure their tanks are full
-- no one has been driving in 2 weeks for but don't want issues
scrap -- have list of items to finish off so I can count them in my total.
make sure boys have new notebook/folders for their new classes this semester
take photos
write 2014 goals list
once over house -- not bad everyone helped pick up last night during commercials.
set scheduled for weekend

I hope everyone has a wonderful day! Stay safe and warm!

Ah, so I thought I was ready to tackle my day and PN96's list makes me want to crawl back into bed and pull the covers over my heads!! (ok, so I was fighting that urge anyway! It's so darn cold!!) I wish I was half as organized and disciplined, but I am so not there.

Today:
Finish laundry, think 2 more backloads
Clean off kitchen counter again
Have to journey across county to used game store because I was missing a game from my bag purchased pre-Christmas. I have to do it today or tomorrow, no excuses! Will use the rest of my Kohls cash in that store for different opportunity.
Start finding homes/storage solutions for multi pieced Christmas presents (84 pieces of plastic food! What was Santa thinking? Of course, DS was thrilled to expand his restaurant menu!)
DS1 has birthday party sleepover tonight, so he should be a joy tomorrow (oh, good something to look forward to!) so it is just little DS and me for dinner at dinner time and DH dinner when he gets home from work around 10. That will be a tough one so I will probably just do 2separate meals rather than try for a reheated.

Happy Friday and 2014 all!

Well we didn't get much in the way of snow, but I have a free day so that's just fine with me. There was over a foot in Boston, so I'm very thankful NU closed.

I'm going to work on my DHS swap prototype(s?) today. We really need to take the tree down and get the decorations put away - I have 40-something cases of Girl Scout cookies coming soon, I need that corner!

I hope everyone is well.

Good morning all! We had icy rain changed to snow yesterday, and ended up with probably 3 inches of snow. The problem is, the temps dropped really fast, and the wet roads are solid ice under the snow. It was a whole 7 degrees this morning! No school for us today!

Not much on my list today, since I was planning to work:

Unload/reload dishes
Clean counters
Work on laundry

General picking up
Maybe run sweeper
Scrap -I'm getting back into it and wnt to keep working!
ETA: Roast in crockpot for dinner

Hope everyone stays warm and safe today!

Steph

We ended up with about 6 ", might be a little more, but got the snowblower out this morning, and the driveway is finished! No melting here today since the temp, with windchill, is under 0.
Stay warm everyone!!

Afternoon,

Looks like everyone was up and running early this morning, got all my chores and appts. out of the way and I'm getting ready to scrap for a bit.

Can't believe all the temps up north, you gals stay warm!!

Nan - awesome news on the kids making Deans List and Honor Roll, congrats!

Wishing everyone and warm day!:cool2:

:wave2:

Prayers and pixie dust to all those in need.

We ended up with about 13 inches of sn*w. My guys did a fantastic job getting us cleaned up outside while Julia and I got all the Christmas decorations put away. I love the decorations, but I am so glad to have things back where they belong!

Good luck to everyone with their lists!

Left for today:
tree downstairs - once DH has rested a bit
defrost dinner - pasta and meatballs
straighten kitchen
DS to poly boards for door ways
maybe family movie tonight

Hope everyone has a great day and stays warm!
