Wow! It's Wednesday already! These weeks are just flying past. I need them to slow down a little bit.

await DD's text.. her BFF stayed with her last night so that she had family with her.. I hate having to tell my kids bad news... I can't take the pain away and being a way from home is the worst.. I have been in her shoes during my college years..

Good Morning,

A stormy start to my day down here..

Nan - so sorry to hear about Grams . Hugs to you and you family during this difficult time...

Had been watching the news and chatting with family about Atlanta being shut down because of the snow and ice. Apparently everyone was caught by surprise, snow and ice came earlier than expected and schools and businesses had not closed. People are STILL trying to get home. Kids had to stay overnight in schools, people at work and it took folks anywhere from 10-20 hours to get home. Over 900 accidents on the interstates, they have called in the National Guard to help removed the abandoned vehicles from the highways.

My SIL was the only one who had trouble leaving work. DB had left early to get the boys but SIL and several other teachers had waited too long to leave and couldn’t drive their cars up the hill out of the parking lot of the school. She and a group of teachers had to walk a mile up the road, out of the hilly areas, for their spouses to come and get them. Thank goodness DB has four wheel drive! Of course the entire city is shutdown today and there is still a gridlock on some portions of the interstate. What a mess!

Mop downstairs
Make grocery list/coupons
Scrap a couple pages
Pork chops for dinner

Good morning girls!

Nan - I wasn't on yesterday, hugs and prayers for your family.
Becky - I'm glad your SIL got home safely. I can't imagine that kind of weather in city that isn't prepared / isn't used to dealing with it. Scary, for sure.

We're off school again for the extreme cold. It was -18 in some areas, so our Admin canceled. We went to school yesterday when it was -5. I don't really understand, we don't run buses and our parents still have to go to work, so they will already be out, but I'm not complaining. I wouldn't want to be the person to make the decision, and in our small school, it is left to one person. We had parents complaining yesterday because we had school, and we had parents griping because they thought we would not have school (the public schools were all out yesterday) and that was crazy because it is just cold. He can't win.

Today:
dishes (already running!)
Roast in crockpot for dinner
DH to teach CPR class
Remind DS13 to study for his Bible and English tests
Go over long division with DS10
Scrap
pick up around the house
