Good morning - Nancy, your list overwhelms me - i applaud your diligence, really!

Cassie - i am sorry your son is going through this. It is such a tough time in life to feel uncomfortable and unsure of what you want. I hope that whatever he decides will work for all of you.

My late day to teach today, I love sleeping past 5:45 am.
Hope everyone enjoys today! Caroline

Cassey, I'm sorry your son is unhappy - is it the classes or other kids that is the problem??

It is raining very hard today - we need the rain so I'm not going to complain - at least I can use my WDW umbrella (DH brought for me on our first WDW trip, for a 10 minute rain)

I have to start inventory today at work (this is weekly) & I need to wrap cookies - hopefully we get some good soup today

I"m cutting out my pirates for the MK swap, hopefully I can get them glued down later but DH is home when I get home from work so no telling what he wants to do but at least he usually wants to cook supper ;)

Good Morning!
My dad is really struggling with contiued radiation and chemo for his cancer- He is just really getting sick of not feeling well. If you could keep him in prayers/sprinkle pixie dust it would be appreciated.
Casey- hope everything is okay with your son and prayers that whatever happens turns out for the best.

Rebecca ~ prayers being said for your Dad...

Cassey ~ prayers to your DS.... I'm so sorry he is not happy.... I hope you are able to talk to him...

Rebecca, sending positive thoughts your dad's way. I hope he starts feeling better. Have fun at your crop.

Reddy, where do you work? I hope you have a good day.

Caroline, can you believe this weather? We need a cold snap to kill all those germs out there - everyone I know has some bug of some sort! Have a good day at school.

Aw, Cassey  My nephew is going through a tough time at school too (he's at UMass Amherst). I don't think he's feeling very connected to the other kids there. I hope DS has a change soon.

Nancy, I can't keep up with you...Good luck with your list!

I'm at work. I'm kind of cranky today. Not sure what my issue is. My left arm is hurting from my wrist to my shoulder. I don't want to be at work, I want to be at home in my jammies scrapping or just hanging on the couch with the cats.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Rebecca, adding your dad to my prayers !

Cassey, that's too bad he's feeling that way, hope you can work through this and find out the issues!

Jennifer, hope the crankies go away and your arm feels better!

Nan, you always make me tired and feel like a slacker with all you do each day :worship:

Reddy, yay for some rain, hope you aren't flooding!

Thanks for alll the prayers and thoughts for dad. His doctor is still very posative about things- he keeps saying that the cancer is not anywhere that will kill him and he is sure he can keep it under control but dad is sooo not used to being sick and needing help all the time and it is driving him a bit crazy.

Rebecca

Rebecca adding your family to my prayers for your Dad. Hope he begins to feel better.

Thanks for the support everyone, it means so much! Spoke with Josh a little this morning and he just doesn't like his major at all. This is the only reason he picked this school and does not see himself there next year at all. He has not adapted well to having roommates, and it is not helping that they like to party and he doesn't. He misses his girlfriend and is sick on top of all of it.

I feel so bad for him, but he needs to really think about what he wants to do. I wish I could give a a big hug and tell him it will be okay like when he was little. He is going to call later so we can talk some more.

Thanks for listening.

Cassey

Hope Josh can get it all worked out....tough knowing what you really want to be when you grow up...is it an option to go to comm college closer to home then transfer back later....or switching roommates?

I had a roommate like that... she blamed me for her bad grades... it wasn't til her parents called the room phone to talk to me about it and I enlightened them!!! Needless to say within 2 weeks I had a double single at no cost and she was moved to a single room the size of a box on the same floor!!! Guess they figured out this little country girl wasn't the party animal afterall (well, at least not at that point in time!)

Don't feel like a slacker.. keep in mind I am a "check list" girl.. I need to write everything down and mark it off when done!!!!

I accomplished almost everything today.. not gonna get to last 2 pages but I will get my room cleaned to start off with a clean desk tomorrow!!!

Rebecca and Cassey- Prayers for you :grouphug:
Cheryl- Good luck with the photo scanning
Jennifer- hope you feel better
Lisa- I wished I would have had nachos for dinner- my fav
Reddy- It is raining a lot here too!!
Nancy- You are one organized lady- come help me!!!

Supper- Grandma helped the kids make pizzas..interesting :goodvibes
A little computer and relaxation time
I should clean some tonight and organize, but I am exhausted so it might be an early to bed night if don't get any energy.

If he is not sure about what he wants to do I highly reccomend the crown financial career interest survey (not sure exactly what it is called). It is a long test that they take on the computer and then it gives a detailed report of what they would enjoy and be good at- it offers a number of options and explains why each of them fit the person. It is the best of these types of tests I have ever seen (I think it does cost about $100 but everyone I know who have taken it have found the results to be very enlightening). When the test is set up they recieve a shiort report but you set up someone else (like yourself to recieve a more indepth report to discuss with them). I got the indepth one for my brother and felt it was very expansive.

Rebecca

Rebecca prayers said for your Dad. My mom felt the same during chemo and radiation. There are good and bad days. Hugs to you friend.

Cassey - I hope maybe after your son feels better he will feel better about school. But definitely check for a new roommate!

Never feel like I accomplish much at home. Trying to stay away from wasting so much time on this danged computer! I am working on it!

Thanks for the info, I will be looking into that survey for the next time he is home.

I am trying hard to determine the best path for him. Part of him wants to give up and come home and part wants to finish the semester. He has talked to the head of the department who was really no help. I told him to talk to someone and explain that he was thinking of withdrawing and explaining his reasons why. Hopefully they will be able to counsel him on what he can do to help get him through the semester. He told me he will take care of that tomorrow.

He has already started looking at schools within commuting distance from here for next year. I think we are going to go through the application process again.... Hopefully this time around is easier.

Now off to tell DH what has transpired today.
