Good luck Pam.. I figured it might be a school issue...just because that is typically what sets all moms off....

On the bright side of my day, my dad called me... he never calls.. anyway, I told him about PJ's acceptance into the all-american scholars who's who...and he & my mom are sending PJ flowers.. this will make her day!!! Anyway, I talked to dad for over an hour.. it was so much fun... he was in rare form and full of it! We spent a majority of the time laughing and taking digs at each others parenting skills..because I of course was the perfect child and therefore the perfect parent! (I know I have my faults...but he believes I have more than I do.... there is no way that is true!)

That's great news - good for her! And who doesn't love getting flowers? Glad you had such a fun talk with your dad! I'm sure he sings your praises to everyone else he talks to about you - isn't it funny though how critical they can be directly to us, though??!!!

Plowing through my list - I was just able to finally reach folks I've been unable to get on the phone for days - now I will run out and walk the dog! (It is very icy out there - eek.)

Our election results have me in a huge funk, the school crap - or is the plural "craps???" - and I get to deal with Girl Scout cookie order deadline stuff and the slimy insurance guy (from the company of the woman who hit us) later tonight. The kids had homework to finish THIS morning before dawn - after being off from school for four frickin' days - they BOTH *just* remembered about it last night on the bus home from NYC (just before midnight). Groan - I'm wiped out.

Unfortunately, it has to be sold only in the park for the first 30 days, which means I won't have it by Valentine's Day.

If no one is going, then I'll wait and buy it on my own after the 30, but I just wanted to know...

Organize 4H leader binder
Sew medal on DDs 4H hat
Find 1 year stripe for DDs 4H hat
Call Community Leader (MIL) for master scrapbooking group list
MIL to PU DD from bus
4H meeting at 6:30 and 7:00
Dinner??
Fold and put away laundry

I had a wonderful day working at Michaels today. I got to be creative!!!! I spent the afternoon in the classroom using the Cricut machine and making posters.

Pam, I feel your pain. We have a new case manager and in the short few weeks of his "services" he has managed to yank two services away from us. grrrrrr I am planning on telling him not to attend our PPT, I can't afford to lose services at DD's school.

Nan, congrats to Miss PJ!!! I am smelling scholarships in the future.

Tinkryansmom, if I can't see the top of my windows and doors, must I really dust them? It's my belief if I can't see it, it ain't there!

Whew - survived today. The next few days are gravy in comparison - maybe I'll finally get to work on my scrappy projects!

Few more minor crises this afternoon, like DSs school telling me "they'll try harder" to help him from injuring himself at school - plucking out a LOT of his eyebrows 2x in the last month. Grrrrrr. DDs afterschool program got cancelled at the last second, but no one thought to call and tell me...grrr. The keyfob to lock/unlock the minivan decided to stop working. But, we made it!

Z2H and I celebrated making it through the day by scooting up to Absolutely Everything tonight (35% off everything in the store sale started today and I still had oodles of $$$ left as store credit from working the inventory!) We scored big time and got great stuff - some of you will see some of our treasures in the upcoming swaps! So, the day ended on a high note and we enjoyed each other's company.

Thanks for all your energy today - my mood has improved (a bit) - TB is in the same funk I'm in and we're trying to help each other over the hump!

PBF, scrappy shopping with credit $$ sounds like a great way to end a crappy day. I hope today is a much better day.
