Deb, wishes for your DS that he has a safe trip!

We got back tonight, so doing a quick check in, will do more tomorrow!

had a mostly good trip other than Megan got a migrain Tues night, sick twice and then a stomach bug Fri night with fever,, sick most of night, so our new years plans at friends house was a bust, Megan went to bed at 5:00pm and I was in bed at 9:00, missed out in all the fun plans with her friends, was better this morning, but not feeling great, long day getting home so we are off to bed in a few!

Just wanted to send everyone Happy New Year wishes, will get updated on all that I missed in the morning!

I'm not sure what we're doing today. It's one of those "play it by ear" days! While DH & DS are still sleeping, I'll do some cleaning and laundry and all that "fun" stuff. Once they are up, we'll decide the plan for the rest of the day.

Today is our "New Year's Day Re-Do". Yesterday was such a sad day that we decided TODAY could be New Year's Day. We go back to work tomorrow, so I have to get everything ready!

Here's my list:

1. Up
2. Caffeinate
3. Breakfast
4. Get ready
5. Go run errands--bookstore, Walmart, ACMoore (2 50% off coupons & a gift card!!)
6. Back home for lunch
7. Nap
8. Clean my bathroom
9. Scrap 2 or so pages
10. Get DS's clothes together for the week
11. Make sure my bag is packed for week
12. Pick out outfits for week
13. Check dates in planner--I HAVE TO DO THIS!14. Proj Life pic
15. Order more pics
16. Go to sleep sort of early!

Ok I missed where DS is going but, Deb, I hope he has a great time!

Sounds like everyone is busy and having fun. Hope Megan is feeling better.

Today its STILL raining. Creek is flooding. Need to go find camera cord so I can post some pics.

I am doing laundry
attempt to clean out bunkhouse apartment
finishing packing for DCL
call 4H horse group - forgot to email them - we have to do discussion at meeting Monday night! They all need to write a little blurb to say.
Have DDs sign Xmas Thank You notes
Have DD11 work on independent study packet
start cleaning out fridge
start cleaning for close up of house
call my mom
keep pre-schooler busy

OK gonna go bust a move - I am seriously running out of time.

I hope Megan and Rachel are feeling better today. Migraines stink!

How is the pre-schooler feeling, Johnna, is her ear better? How excited are you?!

I'm not even planning on getting dressed today. I was able to get 2 cruise pages done this morning, hoping to do more this afternoon while DH watches football. Morgan did her thank you cards this morning, so I need to address those and figure out what everyone is going to wear tomorrow. Morgan is back to school and I have to work. DH has a short day, because of inventory, so he will take her to her eye doctor's appointment after school. She's been complaining she can't see out of her glasses lately.

Thanks everyone for the safe travels good thoughts. We are packing the car right now to go to Newark airport.

My DS22 will be studying abroad for winter semester in India.

The story goes (there's always a story right?) Last winter he was going down south to study American lit of southern writters. Then he changed his mind (found out later it was because his DGF at that time pitched a fit about his being away... oh yeah, we had a talk about that!)

So this winter he was going to California...trip sounded great. Then the professor had to cancel for personal reasons...only thing left was...INDIA!

Other side of the world! Hours ahead of us in time! 14hr non stop flight (gonna make flying to FLA seem like a coffee break ) But he is a big thinker, and has been interested in India. It almost feels like it was meant to be. Not to mention it's like 18 girls and 3 guys

So he leaves tonight, and I'll see him in person again 2/3. I have Skype all set up. I have international calls and texting all set up. I have tissues for the ride up and back.

Huge hugs Debbie!! Give your DS a hug from me... I'd be a big ol' baby at the airport!!! MY gosh.. heck I cry when I put DH on the plane for business... You should have seen me the when PJ was 5 and I sent her to Florida with my parents.. I think I could have beat the plane down there had I had the funds!

Today:

Bag/Tag/Photo holiday swap...
post slideshows of the groups in the holiday swap

when above two tasks are done.. laugh at the mess on the scrapbook floor and go upstairs and spend the day with my family.. Back to work and school tomorrow.. I can clean while they are at school.. My house must be in tip top shape because my Daddy is coming to stay Friday night before we take him to the airport... Then he'll be back to stay on Tuesday night when we pick him back up at the airport... First time in my entire married life that my Daddy has stayed with me.. He prefers hotels..but realizes that the kids are growing up and he is missing them!!!

So, I was a total mush at the airport. Gave him a lucky penny to take with him. Promised to take good care of his dog. And watched as he went thru the gate.

Then I get a text before I leave the airport "See ya mama love you" and I started the waterworks all over again!
