Here is the new do.

The back is cleaned up. It's a bit shorter than I want, but it'll grow.

I'll leave this up for a little while, but then I'm gonna pull it.

I don't always make that smirk. But it is better then the squinty eyed one.

It was worse the first time she goofed. It was shorter in the very back, stepped coming forward and then longer in the front. I wanted the gradual short to long, but that wasn't what I got.

It grew about 1/4-1/2 inch since before Thanksgiving [I have very slow growing hair, always] and she evened it up.

I can live with it now.

Thankfully my DH doesn't get into long hair. He didn't like it all that summer I grew it out. He says as long as I don't dye it black again, we are good. :thumbsup2

:lmao:

Looks very nice AWM! :)

Yeah, I don't see you with black hair.. I agree with DH!!!

I got mine trimmed up 2 weeks ago...but it's no different than before... I'm just not into change...

Here is the pic from the website of the big comfy wrap I'm going to start (pic is terrible, but you get the idea)... Mine is going to be purple :teeth:

This is the other project I want to make... but I controlled myself :thumbsup2

love them both but I really like the second one.

I tried to knit last night, with my lazy person's nifty knitters, but I forgot how to do it!! LOL

The first one is for knocking around the house when the brrrrrrrrr is on... DH has made comments about my homeless woman look... What sweats, dress, sweatshirt and a flannel button down isn't sexy? :confused3

sorry you are having a tough time at Work, Steph. 5 bosses in one year is just nuts.
If you left is there other work out there for you?

Thanks all. I made it through the day without tears, and it wasn't as bad as the last two days. It still stinks, but today was better.

I have given my notice to quit twice since July, and end up backing out for various reasons. One problem is that I've worked there way too long and this group of 20 or so women who are all different in so many ways have become my extended family; my heart is too tied up in it.

You hit the nail on the head, though--there are no jobs in this area. If I leave, it would be very hard to find anything close. I don't make a lot, but I've been there 14 or so years, since right after high school, and the raises every year add up. There is only one other hospital under an hour away, and it's very small, so not a lot of opportunity there for me. I have a degree, but in this area, the pickings are slim. My possibilities would be fast food, Walmart or the dollar store, at least right away. I am planning to check at the schools over the summer and when it's time for the new school year; I know a couple of the secretaries will be retiring, so that may work out.

To make matters worse, I banged my hand on the printer this morning, and it has hurt ever since. It's a little swollen, probably just bruised. I'll have to get it checked tomorrow if it isn't any better.......at least I work in a hospital, but I don't think I can scrap at the crop tomorrow....

Steph

sorry you got hurt.

So if you've been there for so long why can't you get the bosses position? Seems that would be the natural progression of things.
If you go the school route, you should really start checking now. Most schools will do their hiring starting around April. Budget talks have already begun here.

AWM - Your hair is cute!

Buffy, I wouldn't want the bosses job even if I was qualified! There are only 10 or 11 people in our office higher up than I am, and none of us have the degree it would take. My degree is basically a secretary degree. The (new) boss has a BS in healthcare management of some sort and also financial experience.

Thank you. :)

Sorry to hear about your job woes. Wish I could give you constructive advice. But I've got nothing.

That explains it! Yeah, I wouldn't want all the headaches of upper management either.
Hopefully it will all work out!

Thanks you all!

I have super fine thin hair. Not sure when that happened. Must have been when I turned old and wasn't looking.

Anyway, anything past my shoulders now looks ratty. I saw photos of me from the 2008 SDV and nearly passed out from shock. I looked old.

I don't really look a whole lot younger, but I feel it now. My hair bounces. Which is really the only part of my body that should. I'll have to work on the rest. :rotfl2::lmao:

Hi y'all!! Internet is hooked up and running now! Yippeeeee!! I can now officially DIS from everywhere we go--WDW, home, work, and the cabin! YAY!!!

Steph--I hope work gets better!!!

Ann--LOVE the hair! I go next week to have mine done, and due to having the same fine, thin hair you talked about having, I've got to do something! I LOVE yours! I'm also trying to figure out color for mine--dark shows the gray (who is this old lady fairy, and why did she hit me??) and blond makes it look thinner.

Today, at work, I was just thinking about how lucky we are to have our little community for uplifting, venting, etc. Y'all are awesome!

Have a great night, everyone!
