Good Morning! Happy New Year!

Today:
Service
Lunch Out
Groceries/shopping
Put together new cubes from Michaels (part of the shopping I realized I needed more drawers for my swap items- they don't fit in what I have right now and since these are on sale this week I am getting 2 more cubes. I think I would like to eventually change over to mainly the wooden cubes from my plastic drawers)
dinner- appetizers- stuffed mushrooms, motzerella sticks, chicken wings, vegies, fruit and dip, crackers w/ cheese and meat, pigs in a blanket, sugar weenies
begin paper sort (my goal is to finish my scraproom tomorrow- I have paper, some swap items, and some stickers left as well as sooner or later I want to add some cubbies into some of the drawers I am keeping multiple items in)

happy new year's to all of ya'll

I woke up early & couldn't go back to sleep - it is strange that all I hear is the coffee maker - everyone else is in bed.

No idea what we are doing today since everyone is off
I'm hoping to get my inkscaping done that I worked on yesterday

Happy New Year!!!

Not much planned for today since I'm working. It should be a fun day, though, since I'm supposed to be cleaning and reorganizing the classroom. It so needs it and I've been itching to get my hands on it. After work, it'll just be spending some time with DH!

Have a wonderful first day of 2012!!!!!

The wedding and reception was really nice! We had a beautiful day too! December 31st, and we were outside in just our shirts. It was great!

Then I went to Joann's and got the stuff I need for the FE for the cruise. Better get cracking on that!!

Today I have to:

Get stuff ready to take to work. We are having meatball sammies for dinner... Happy New Year to us!!

:laundy:

Go over what DS23 is packing for India. He is leaving tomorrow for a month :sad1:

Work @3p

Have a GREAT New Year!!!

Good morning!
Stepanie, youre atill at Michaels? Still liking it? Its been over a year now I think.

Debbie, why is DS going to India? We have friends there that are at the tails end of their trip. They are in Cambodia right now. Very interesting trip report.
I hope he has a good and safe trip.

Rebecca, what are Sugar Weenies? Youve mentione them twice. I need to know what hese are cuz the mind is running!

Hi Reddy!

One main goal for today...... Finish putting Christmas away! I think Im done to 5 boxes. DD did end up helping alot and DS was just in the room keeping company but it was nice and it kept we working while we were talking.
If I get any scrapping done that would be nice.

Hope everyone has a great first day of the year!
:hippie:

Happy New Year all!!!

today is more cleaning and sorting in the crap room. Itunes is blaring as I'm the ONLY breathing thing in the house ( no dogs under my feet even!!!)

My only resolution is to get the stuff in the house under control. I simply can't take it anymore. So instead of general cleanups I do every Jan and Feb (which are lost by may) this year I'm going head to toe in EVERY room It's going to take me 2 months+ to get through it all but every cupboard and closet is getting hoed out. I'm working on the top floor 1st. so jan's goal is the crap room, our bathroom, and bedroom. top to bottem no excuses of but I'll use it next month or I might fit into it. While i would love to lose these 30 pounds I haven't in 2 years these clothes are GOING!

In the process of this I'm going to see if Levi wants to move to the playroom (big step for me as it's in a walkout basement and hes going to be 14!!) that would mean Eric could go to his room and Eric's room could be a den/guest room with the futon and tv with the wii and playstation. But it would really open up some space in my tiny house.

So all wish me luck and kick me to the curb if I'm on here instead of getting this all under control. I've got to cause in June I have 2 graduating 5th and 8th that will never happen again so I think its a great excuse for a really big party.

Hope you all have a wonderful 2012

Good Morning and Happy New Year!! My main objective for the day is to put away all the Christmas decorations and clean the living room. I need to do some general picking up of the rest of the house and a few loads of laundry. Hoping to be able to scrap some later this afternoon. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning!!

Hope everyone is off to a great start to the new year!!

Today's plans are to visit with my brother's family and watch the Patriots.
Home for dinner?
work on holiday swap

All the christmas decorations are stored away.

Been looking at paper storage and I think I have decided on the clear lipless one from scrapbook.com. I will be ordering it this week. Organizing is a top priority for me this year.

Hope you all have a great day!

Cassey

sounds like everyone is getting the Christmas stuff cleaned up

I took the tree down this morning while everyone was sleeping - woke them all up by vacumning:rotfl:

we rearrange the living room - I really like it better now
but it does help to get something out of it (which was the tree)

we are planning on getting the lights down after lunch so that will be all of our Christmas stuff

I printed off some stuff from "Mircosoft works" to help with fitness plans, I think the menu planning will help alot (just so I know what is DH is thinking since he does the grocery shopping)

I like seeing what I'm suppose to do on strength training which is what DH really thinks I need to do more of instead of being on the computer so much:confused3

Happy New Year all...
We were up til after 1AM having a blast!!! I love that my kids would prefer to stay home with us and have a family event then to go out and do bad things that teens sometimes do. We have so much fun with this event!!!!

Today:
DH switched some furniture around for me
DH and Dboys will pull down the Christmas totes
I will start putting decorations away
tree down
DD is responsible for laundry today gotta make sure she can handle it in college
kids to clean up their rooms and get bookbags ready for school tomorrow
clean up the house
all decorations put away til next year!!

scrapbook 10 personal pages
DD and I to select and resize photos she needs printed
DD and I to make notes of photos she needs to get from classmates
upload photos
dinner: free for all..buffet

Ok, I better get going.. DH is off tomorrow so we are having a lunch date and I have to make my weekly goal list because I only have 5 months til graduation and we only have 5months to finish 4 rooms in the house for the party!!! Plus all the scrapping that needs done.... The countdown is on!!!!

Have a fabulous day!!!!

BTW, heard from Lisa...she says "Happy New Year!" Wishes she could say so herself but computer is gone til probably Friday....

My son is going to India to do a documentary. He went last year with the study abroad with his univ, and this year 3 of that group are going back to work on this project. He will be traveling over and back with the study abroad group, but when they go all over India and trek the Himalayas, he will be staying in New Delhi.

He is planning to take a side trip to visit a friend he made while over there last year. It's funny, I'll be going to work and he is skyping with his friend in India. How different it is for this generation than when I was in college! They have kept in touch and remained great friends thru the internet :goodvibes So Cool!!

Deb you're such a brave mom. I don't think I could do it. On the other hand what he's learning is amazing and the friendships he's forming!!!!

I got my dining room closet hoed out this morning! So, a small step in the right direction. As Cassey said, organization is my top priority this year too. Going to keep on trucking on my Tuesdays and Thursdays and eventually get everything in its place.

I found two jackets of Morgan's that don't fit (one still had the tags on it), so I called my sister who volunteers at a shelter in the city and she happened to be near me...brought those jackets, a bunch of barely worn shoes, and some other clothes Morgan has outgrown to her to donate to the Thrift Shop there. Made me feel good that someone can get some use out of it. We have so much, I'm happy to give what I can. I usually buy two coats to donate to the coat drive one of the girl scout troops does, but being so sick after our trip, I didn't get it done this year. So, I feel better knowing that I've done something!

DH is watching the Patriots. I think he's going to make chicken and eggplant parmigiana for dinner. Or, we'll have munchies for dinner and parm tomorrow. Either way, I'll be full and happy :)

Hoping to finish up my PhotoPass photos today so I can order the CD (or download) and get my pictures printed for the finished swap pages I have. I'm itching to get started!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic day. Happy New Year!

Hope everyone is having a great New Year's Day :)

Rachel and I are still both quite ill! I think we "caught" the bronchitis just before it turned into pnuemonia :( Even with antibiotics the recovery is taking a very. very long time.

We did finally get Christmas decorations down today and the house is back to normal.

I'm hoping to organize/clean/donate stuff in each and every room and the garage before Sarah graduates in May. I'm so impressed with those of you starting your cleaning today :)

Enjoy the rest of your holiday!

Happy New Year!!!party:

I started the day off scrapping a little, watched football, and we're about to eat our traditional New Year's Day dinner of pork roast, blackeyed peas, and collard greens.

Hope everyone has a great start to your 2012!!:)

Deb, your DS's trip sounds like an awesome opportunity. to you.

Rita, yes, I still work at Michaels. I've been there a little over 2 years now and I still love it. I work on the sales floor and I'm also the scrapbooking instructor.

Good morning!
Rebecca, what are Sugar Weenies? Youve mentione them twice. I need to know what hese are cuz the mind is running!
:hippie:

The recipe is on our cooking board- they are an appetizer you make by wrapping bacon around the cocktail weenies (I get the sausage but you can use whichever ones) and then you sprinkle brown sugar over them and bake them until the sugar crystalizes on them.

Rebecca

Happy New Year to all!!

I slept in and then we spend the afternoon shooting model rockets off with friends. Its a new tradition!! Good fun.

We are off to MILs for New Years Dinner - NY Strip and potatoes. SIL is from Oklahoma so she brings the black eyed peas.

I will disappear Christmas tomorrow. Did not go too crazy with decorating so should be able to get it done fairly quickly.

I, too, will be organizing this year. And am getting back to scrapbooking. Today as I was taking pics of the rockets I said "yay - no I am already one more album behind!!" UGH.

Going to institute more routines this year and be a better mom. I don't think I am a very good example to my two girls sometimes.
