We have given out juice boxes at Halloween for so many years that we are known in the neighborhood as "The Juicebox House". This year was no exception. My wife and MIL sat on the front porch and dutifully handed out TWO juice boxes to each trick-or-treater that graced our home.

The highlight of last night was when this little boy dressed as Elvis, probably 2 or 3 years old, came toddling up to our front door with his father in tow. He saw the juice boxes and was immediately mesmerized. He said "Juice?" His dad leaned down and asked him "What do you say?". Little Elvis replied "Juice?" No matter how hard dad tried, he could not get his son to say "Trick or treat". My wife handed him a juicebox and that dad immediately took it away from him and again asked (a little more forcefully) "What do you say!?!?" The look on this little boy's face was priceless. He turned to another child who had just gotten his juicebox and feeblely said "Juice???" His dad relented and returned the juicebox to his little Elvis and the two of them walked away, hand in hand.

It was the most precious scene that I've ever witnessed on Halloween. Even today I can still see that little Elvis and hear him saying "Juice???"

lol, so very cute! I think the cutest I saw last night was a little girl all of the age of 3 or 4, dressed up as Annie! Complete with short, red, curly wig! :goodvibes

awww... that is adorable!!!

I love watching little kids like that :)

TC, what a heart warming story...I can just picture it in my mind. Juice? Too cute :goodvibes

The cutest toter we saw was a little preschool girl dressed up as Dorothy. :goodvibes She even had the red shoes and a picnick basket with a toy dog inside! lol

I posted this on another thread, but I'll share here, if you don't object.

The absolute cutest was a little girl dressed as a pirate. She was somewhere between 2 and 3 years old and was just adorable. She came up to the steps, held out her pumpkin and said "Chicken treat!" just as seriously as she could. She got a couple of extra candies and remembered to say "Tank you."

Another was two little boys about four years old--I think they were twins. One was a pirate, the other was Woody. I asked the pirate "Didn't I see you in Pirates of the Caribbean?" He looked very proud and nodded. I then asked his brother "And weren't you in Buzz Lightyear?" The first one looked at me and said, "No. That's Jack."

I have to brag, I think my little girl was the hit of our small town last night! I will post pics soon as I get them burned to a CD--but she is only 1---and I had an authentic Chinese outfit I had bought for her to wear, and decided to let her wear it for Halloween---she we had that one w/ the little shoes--pulled her hair up in a ponytail (for a 1 yr old, she has a head FULL of curly hair)--then we painted her face white, w/ a little black around the eyes and made little red cheeks and red lips. Then we put chopsticks in her hair!! She was such a little doll!!! Looked like the little China Dolls---and she was SOOO excited to be TOT that she jabbered at everyone (chinese talk is what we called it)...and at each house--after saying trick or treat (the best way a 1 yr old can manage) she would peer in her little pumpkin bucket and make sure she had something before saying thank you!! Anyways, just had to brag for a sec!!! :cloud9:

I went home for the night (I'm at college) to go TOT with my neice and nephew. Well my nephew dressed up as Anikan Skywalker (you know the star wars guy?) and at every house he would sat TOT get a piece of candy and then say "Thank you and may the force be with you" It was so cute! :flower:

We saw a little Darth Vader with a little light saber. We oohed and awed about how scary he was and not to hurt us with his light saber. He very seriously explained to us that it was pretend and he couldn't kill people or anything.

My girls said they seen someone dressed up as a skunk... :rotfl2:

They were both dressed as cats...

Juice?, Chicken treat, China doll -what cuties!

DD was a Princess with a magic wand. After saying Thank you she would wave her magic wand to turn people into frogs (and then back to humans).
One woman was kind enough to ribbit.

My youngest, Logan, was a T rex for tot. Each time she got her candy from someone she would squeel woooohooo at the top of her lungs followed by an oh yea, baby! I honestly don't know where she got that from. One lady asked her if she was a "mansion girl" (our house is 2 stories with 4 very large columns on the porch and the neighborhood kids call it the mansion). Logan said, "huh?" So the lady repeated, "are you one of the girls that live in the mansion?", to which Logan replied, "no, I live at home" :rotfl2:

The cutest ones I saw were -

"Tinkerbell" and Tinkerbell's fairy friend "Rose Petal" they had their faces painted similarly to the facepainting done at Disney and as it was chilly here in SD last night they had one fuzzy fake fur jackets with their wings on their backs. They said their thank yous for the candy they recieved and then the older one said - "come on Tink - we have to FLY" and they jumped off the side of our front porch... wings fluttering in the breeze.

So cute!!

I saw two little kids and they had cowboy costumes on and they were sewn into a ride on pony. It was really cute.
