So I was going to call to try to get in for the Crystal Palace breakfast, but I have a few questions first.

Would it be silly for two adults to go to this, since this is a character meal? Would people look at us strange because we do not have kids, and it is worth even using a TS credit on it?

Second, I am about 4 days past my 180 mark for this, would I still have a chance at it?

We have always seen adults there without children- no one thinks twice. It's a nice breakfast and I love kicking off the MK with it. I love getting there before the park opens and getting those empty castle shots. You should still be able to get a ressie.

No one will look at you weird ! We (myself & DM, 58) have done CP twice and many other character meals, and never felt self conscious.

But, I wouldn't use a TS credit on breakfast - ANY breakfast. Pay OOP for it, and keep your TS for dinner. JMO.

CP is our favorite breakfast meal!! I absolutely think it's worth DDP credits. I use them for where I want to eat regardless of the value. I try not to over think the plan. Yeah, dinner is a better value but I won't let that stop me from using them for a breakfast meal I love.

They have a great buffet and our favorites are the breakfast lasagna, breakfast pizza, made to order choc chip pancakes just to name a few.

I think you'll still have a big selection of times to choose from. I always try for the 8:00a ADR on a day that MK opens at 9:00a so Main Street is practically a ghost town; great for photos.

We went last year in Nov. 4 adults, and just got back from an ALL GIRL TRIP, and went for breakfast. The Puff French Toast is SOOOOOO worth it....ENJOY and have FUN

The day after I graduated nursing school in 2006:cool1: my best friend and I went to Disney for 4 days, NO KIDS, NO HUBBIES and we ate at Crystal Palace, had a GREAT time and WHO CARES if anyone stares, go for it and ENJOY!

We sat between 2 childless couples during our breakfast at CP. They were having a great time and said they come there for the food. I didn't see anything odd about it.

My DH and I have no kids and CP for breakfast is always a must for us. We have always noticed other couples and we pretty much do all of the character meals that we can. We've never been made to feel odd. We never use our TS for it, though; we always pay OOP. Take a chance on getting an ADR. You might luck out. Enjoy! :goodvibes

My wife and I have done breakfast there many times. No problem feeling out of place. I guarantee you won't be the only adult-only table.

thanks for the amazing feedback! I am less worried now, I just was worried that it was like an unsaid thing that you only would go if you have children. Silly thought, I know I just wanted to make sure :)

anyone know how long the meal takes?

My BF and I go are going to this breakfast (he loves breakfast and Pooh!) and we're even doing the princess meal (for me!).

I'm paying OOP for CP. 18.99 is cheap enough, that I'm willing to pay cash, plus we need to pay one meal OOP.

anyone know how long the meal takes?

It's a buffet, so it's really up to you.
Our first time we were for almost 2 hours (that was for lunch). The 2nd time, for breakfast, we were out in less than an hour.

DH and I go all the time, no kids here. We see alot of adult only diners at many character meal places.

We LOVE it, the food is very good for breakfast and dinner. I was able to get ressies for CP as late as 3 days before we left for a trip

Will the characters still stop by your table for pictures even if you have no kids? Are they alone, or do they have a person with them...reason I ask is I would love to have a pic of me and DH with Pooh. :)

We just love Crystal Palace! My DSis and I have gone to CP twice when it was just the two of us and enjoy it just as much as when there are kids with us. Yes the characters go to every table no matter what. and we have plenty of pix of us with the characters. (Eeyore is one of my faves) the food is delicious and the restaurant is beautiful, light and airy atmosphere, and you just can't beat the Hip Hip Hooray parade!!!

DF and I are eating breakfast here on our honeymoon. I love Pooh and I don't care if everyone thinks we are weird for eating here. The menu looks wonderful!!

DFi and I ate there first thing one morning on our last trip. It was so good and the characters still come to you for pics even if you aren't with any kids. NO ONE looked at us funny. We actually did 3 or 4 character meals that trip!! We loved it so much that we made another ADR for our next trip. I JUST made the ADR last weekend and we are WAY past 180 days out. I think we are close to 100. This place is not too hard to get into so I'm sure you will be able to get it.

We always go to CP for breakfast. Now as a matter of tradition, I ask adults only tables if they would like me to take their pictures for them while they pose with the characters. I did this our first trip years ago with an elderly mother and her daughter. The woman was so grateful for the pictures of her and her mother with all of the characters it warmed my heart to do it, so now I always look around to do it again. :flower3:
