The Cruise we were NOT taking . . .

aren't you glad you changed your mind about this cruise?:cool1::cool1::cool1:

UGH!!! Ok - I am now in complete freakout mode!!!

Back from Rhode Island - ok I will let myself be a little distracted - it was a lovely wedding and very fun weekend. The Town of Bristol was beautiful and the bride and groom are too cute for words.

Anyway, we are now back home -I have to complete all the :laundy: from the kids stay at camp, my weekend away, and then pack it all, plus finish my FE gifts, and add to that - we are working the boy scout snowball stand at the carnival tomorrow. AHHHHH!!!!! WHat was I thinking?!?!?!?!?

I am going to try to pack some. More to come tomorrow!

UPDATE - T MINUS 2 AND COUNTING

Here we are lucky readers, continuing the vacation countdown. If I do not die of stress over this one, it will be a miracle.

So when last we left off, I was headed to Rhode Island for a wedding, 6 hour drive. Which turned into a 9 hour drive on the way up. But I digress.

Why, you say, would you intentionally plan to send the kids to camp and go away for a wedding the week before your cruise? Ah, but you have obviously not been paying attention. Remember, this was the cruise that was NOT going to happen. So the camps plans were in place, the wedding was a definate, and the cruise? Well, it just kind of happened. Fell into my lap, you might say. And I am not an idiot. Well, I am, but that is another matter entirely. So, I knwe this would be a little stressful. I knew we would not have a lot of time to pack and unpack. So I did what all good general's do, I brought in the reinforcements. I enlisted the lovely MIL to wash the kids camp clothes while we were away. Bwah, hah, hah. I am masterful, aren't I? (Oh, did I mention that this was horse back camp for her and paintball camp for him?) Whew, bet those clothes were stinky. hehehehehehe.

Part two of the reinforcement strategy was to get DH to take an extra week off. They have been pretty slow, and he figured his men could handle an extra week without him (I personally believe they were laughing in their beers every afternoon - but this is a family board, so no more on that). He is home this week and is man in charge of packing, cleaning, and all dog things. So, litte Chico has seen the vet, appt for the kennel is made, and the kids rooms are, well, let's just say you can see the floor. Probably as good as it is going to get at this point.

There are a few remaining issue to deal with. All laundry is now done, but the stuff must actually make it to the suitcase. We usually do a scrapbook page for our door - not yet done. No one will watch the rat. And, I have presciptions to get refilled too soon for insurance liking. I will deal with each of these today. And god bless the employer of mine, that's all I am going to say!

Off now to continue to ready myself. I may post once more on Friday.
