My Mom asked me if it made me feel old... I said, "I don't know, does it make YOU feel old???" :rolleyes1

She then told me to shut up...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEC!!!!

Your reply to your Mom was funny, and her reply was priceless. You two crack me up :lmao:.

Good morning all!! :)

I thought I would pop in and say hi, I am a bad DISer and haven't been on here in like 10 days...

It has been crazy busy!! Alec started middle school and so far he likes it, but says it is kinda crazy with all the kids in the halls in between classes...

Tailor is on her second day of 1st grade today... She actually ended up getting the same first grade teacher that Alec had, so she thought that was pretty neat...

I thought I was going to have a stoke yesterday! :headache: I go to get Tailor off the bus and the bus arrives... No Tailor... :confused3 I immediately call the school and was told they don't know where she is... EXCUSE ME??? Long story short, they put her on the wrong bus!! I didn't know where my daughter was for almost 30 minutes and I didn't get her back for about an hour... They couldn't tell me where she was or how I was going to get her back when they did locate her!! Her little friend ended up being the one who told me she saw Tailor being put on a different bus and what the bus number was... And then the school said they wouldn't do that and the little girl was mistaken... Umm, the little girl was dead on!! :headache: My MIL ended up chasing down the bus and confirmed that Tailor was on it, but they wouldn't let her take Tailor off the bus... Finally I was able to get them to release her, so Terry and I rushed to MIL's house to get her...

Not a good way to start the school year... :sad2:

But in good news, we are at 80 days today!!! :woohoo:

Oh my gosh poor you, that is so stressful. Emma started gr 1 this year and she was chocked yesterday by a gr 2 boy and the school didn't call me. I think schools are slacking a lot lately

Today we hit 10 weeks until we board the plane!! Time really seems to be moving right along and the numbers are dropping fast... I love it when we are busy and are not just watching the seconds click on the clock!! I am going to have to get started with my To Do List here soon so I don't forget anything... :scared:

I totally agree girl time does go quicker when you are busy... I had no idea I was even in the seventies already!!! :scared1:

Okay, we are are 2 1/2 months out now, so I figure I should start making my To Do list and my Not To Forget list...

Leaving the kids at home brings a whole list I think... I made a few calls to the places that matter and have to start getting forms filled out and letters written!! I sure hope Jordan knows what he is getting into!! :scared:

We have tweaked some dining a bit, and will be cancelling a few ADR's... Has everyone going in Dec gotten everything they wanted?? If you will be there on Dec. 1st, I have a dinner ADR for a very popular place that I will not be using now... :rolleyes1

We ordered our MVMCP tickets today and did the e-tickets, and we also made a dent on our package and will be done with that soon... :woohoo:

I will get a proper update written up soon with our schedule and dining changes...

Friday night we are having Alec's birthday party with his friends... He is inviting 10 kids!! :scared1: Anyone wanna guess how much sleep I will get with 11 preteen boys in the house??

I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I confess though, I'm glad 7th grade is middle school here, not quite ready for that yet.

11 6th graders????????????????????????????

A sleepover?

Are you insane????????????

OMG. I hope you have wine handy. And earplugs. Evan had 3 and they killed me. Then again, I took them out for fondue. 11 year olds playing with hot oil....

Yes, traveling without the kids requires a ridiculous amount of pre-planning, it's exhausting!

Worth it.

11 6th graders????????????????????????????

Yup... I have a feeling that 3 or 4 won't make it... Or maybe that is wishful thinking...

A sleepover?

uh huh... I think Alec got me when I was medicated or something :confused3

Are you insane????????????
::yes::

You are brave... I am having pizza delivered...

I am really looking forward to being just the 2 of us this trip... I think we will see things differently through our own eyes and not the eyes of our children if that makes any sense...

A December 1st ADR you say? I have Tusker House that morning for breakfast but I'm intrigued which popular one you're giving up.... :scratchin and what you're replacing it with.

Eleven kids at a sleepover?? :faint: Pitch a tent and send them out into the backyard!

The ADR is in Epcot, and it's for 2 people... Any guesses?? It starts with an L...

I thought about the tent, but it's going to be raining... :guilty:

I am just going to throw pizza at them and lock myself in my room... Which means I will have lots of DIS time and annoy Tracy on Yahoo messenger time...

you are brave, 11 boys. My son usually has 3 friends sleep over and 4 teenagers is enough for me:scared1:

I know... I should be committed for this... :sad2:

It started as just a few and it just kept growing... :confused3

I am just rolling with it, Alec really needs to make some new friends, and 7 of these kids are new friends, so I think it will help with his socialization... He had friends in elementary school but not a lot that he would spend time with outside of school... I wanna fix that before he starts high school...

That completely makes sense. I have worried about that with my youngest at times.

OMG are you crazy having all those kids over!!! LOL:rotfl: The things we do for our kiddos!!!

I'll be Devonless that evening so you need to vent you can call! :goodvibes

Enjoy!
