I thought I would give everyone a life update.... Things have been pretty busy around here...
Today marks 175 days until the trip!!!

We are getting there, slowly but surely...
Yesterday we helped my Dad pull off a great birthday surprise for my Mom... He has always kinda failed miserably at planning birthday stuff for her... This time he blew her away and I have never seen her quite so happy...

When she got pregnant with me she was 14... It was not so accepted then, and she was at school one day, told her Mom about the pregnancy and never returned... My grandma yanked her and kept her away... So all of her friends never even knew about me... Well, with Facebook she has found some of these friends... It has been great for her, as she doesn't really have "healthy friendships" if that makes sense... This weekend she got to see these friends in person, I have never seen her laugh so much!! It was amazing!! And of course the Tiffany & Co. charm that Terry and I bought her for her birthday didn't hurt either!!
With one surprise party down, we still have one to go!! The anniversary party that Terry and I have been working in for a year is getting close... RSVP's are rolling in and our guest count is up to 70 confirmed with another 40 still not responded... We have a lot of family and friends coming from out of state that I didn't think would make it... I am very excited that we are having a good turn out for it... We are down to 35 days until this party!! The kids have done amazing, and the party is a surprise... We told the kids that if they pull this off and not say anything we are taking them to the toy store!!!
My brother comes home on leave in 2 weeks... He will be here for a little over 3 weeks and I can't wait!!!
Terry has been working so much overtime, I am surprised that he remembers where he lives!!! He doubled his income last month and is on track the 1st 6 days of this month to triple it...

He is amazing, and I do not know how he does it... All he knows is it is available right now and he wants to get the party paid for and the trip, plus he has a few things on his man list...
Terry did his shift bid for the first Sunday of July to the end of the year, and he will have weekends off.... So we are planning a few camping trips this summer...
We took the kids to see the new Shrek on Thursday night... We all loved it, thought it was very cute... We are thinking that if Terry is home an evening this week we would go see Marmaduke... But Terry has family coming to town for his nephew's graduation so it may wait until after they go back home...
We have had some stress the past few weeks also...

Terry's Mom has been having some medical issues... It appears that these could be VERY serious issues... She has been a smoker since before Terry was born I think, or right after... She has COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and has been dealing with that for years... Well, it is getting worse, she went to the doctor and they did a LOT of tests and had her rush to the hospital for a CT scan of her lungs because they feared a blood clot, well its not a clot, but they are looking at cancer, although the doc says until he sees how it progresses in a scan 3 months from now, he isn't treating it like cancer... All he knows is there is a spot on the images that should not be there... She is not feeling any better and you can almost hear the fluid in her lungs when she talks... She can't stay awake for longer then about an hour... She can't vacuum without getting so out of breathe that she has to lay down right where she is at... One problem is that we are only being told what she wants us to hear... So she could very well know it is cancer at this point and just not want to tell us.... She did that with the COPD for years, but I knew better, I have seen it with my grandma and great grandma... She finally had to admit it... It is weighing heavy on Terry, understandably, and we are just doing all we can to assist his parents... I have encouraged him to spend time with her and cherish that time, because unfortunately, she is not healthy enough for much treatment, so right now we are just kinda watching her get frail...

We are hoping that she will start listening to the doctors and they can get her comfortable and a little more like her old self... But we know we have to be prepared for the worst also...
The kids have another week of school... Tailor's last day is the 14th and Alec the 15th... Alec has his 5th grade graduation that day, I can't believe my little man is headed for middle school!!!

Where have the last 10 years gone??? The kid is almost as tall as me...
Terry is almost done with the concert pics, so he will probably have those up this week sometime, and I will get pics of the new Disney shirts I ordered up soon too!!
Not much trip planning going on right now, but we have plenty of other stuff keeping us busy so that is probably part of it!!
Hope everyone is doing well!!!
