UGH!!

The main bathroom has dry rot!!! Waiting for a contractor to show up and give us an estimate!!!

I am so happy you are feeling better.

I think you can plan her party, you are great at that stuff and heck you probably have most of the addresses, etc so that is a jump start.

Sorry to hear that about your bathroom. I hope it isn't too much of an issue.

I think the hardest part to planning my Mom's birthday party will be getting my Dad to make decisions about it... He is awful when it comes to that...

We are in the process of ripping the floor out of the bathroom and we got lucky since it didn't rot the sub floor so we just have to replace weather barrier, and the boards on top of the sub floor and then lay down new flooring... and new trim etc... Not nearly as expensive but still a lot of work... And I get new flooring in the bathroom! Although we just did the floor in there like 3 years ago so I really wasn't wanting new floor for that room! Owell...

I think the hardest part to planning my Mom's birthday party will be getting my Dad to make decisions about it... He is awful when it comes to that...

Thank goodness it only needs a new weather barrier and flooring and isn't anything like termite damage, I was a bookkeeper at a pest control company for 8 years and saw the awful damage those horrible termites can do.

I am not sure if everyone's knows this or not, but Arienne(Porturican)'s Mom has been battling Cancer...

I just received the text I was hoping she would never have to send... Her Mom has been taken to the hospital and is on a morphine drip... Not expected to make it through tonight or tomorrow...

I would like to ask everyone to pray, or just send good thoughts for her Mom to go peacefully and for the family to find comfort in the fact that she is not in pain anymore...

Now is a good time to call your own Mothers and tell them you love them... If you are anything like me, you don't say it as much as you should... I just got off the phone with mine. And I am going to make sure to get better about doing it... You just never know what can happen...

Prayers going up !!! I watched my dear MIL die of cancer and was with her at her home when she passed !!! It was both sad and a blessing !!!

I think the new meds are going to work!!! I took my pain meds last night and didn't wake up until just now... For the past week I had been taking them at 8pm then I would wake up in pain at 2 and then again at 6... So hopefully this means that the pain will start subsiding!!!

Glad you are feeling better !! I have to go for Pre Op tests tomorrow and have minor surgery/biopsy on the following Thursday so wouldn't mind a few prayers !!

Just saw Mrs. K's post and was surprised to see that T&T are planning another trip - I'm way out of the loop lately - so excited for you! Your ADRs are interesting without kiddos, but we did a couple of them sans kids too. We had a nice quiet table outside of WCC, almost out in the lobby (they picked up on Jim's anti-social nature LOL!) Jim loved it - it was our best meal of the whole trip!

Congrats on the car! We had a nice peaceful rental last trip and loved it - I don't think we'll choose Me again if we can budget for a car.

Hey Tammie!! Welcome aboard the crazy train!!

We are looking forward to the rental car, although I told Terry if we have any more issues with the house before the trip, that the car is gone!

We originally were not going to do any character meals, but decided we like the food and Terry is a huge fan of buffets!!

Bathroom Update...

We have been working pretty much non stop on the bathroom... The new flooring is all done, the vanity and sink are in, painting is done, new toilet is half way in, Terry is working on caulking everything now so it is sealed good...

We have to let it set for like 24 hours so we should have a fully functioning bathroom again by Saturday morning...

Which is great since Terry leaves Saturday morning!!!

Bathroom is DONE!!! At least for the most part... I still have to nail trim to the door jam and change out the fan, but everything else is done... What a relief! I may have to try out the new throne tonight
