The could we?? should we?? PTR **12/9 **Home from WDW**

I have always dreamed of staying at either Poly, AKL, or Contemporary, and someday we will, but right now, I don't think it would make sense... Once I go Deluxe, I am not going to want to go back... I think I am just going to buy DVC in a couple of years and not worry about it anymore ;)

Have you seen the pics of the refurbed rooms at Pop??? They look pretty nice... I am excited to stay there again... I just kinda want to try something new... I think the only way for us to stay the length of times we want, and stay deluxe is for us to own dvc...

They do look pretty nice.

is DVC in your future?

I think the bang for your buck is magnified to those of us living on the West Coast. It's just not possible for us to make multiple trips every year. So staying as long as possible is often the best option....:thumbsup2

But the deluxes are nice...

You are totally right on the west coast thing... It takes a lot to get there... I would love to be able to have AP's but there is no way we can make it there enough to justify the cost... Longer stays are just easier for west coasters... For sure...

I AM going to get the Premiere Passport in 2011. With 2 WDW trips in 2012, it'll save me a few hundred dollars.

I think it is probably in the cards for 2012ish... That is the goal anyways, to have it for our 2012 trip or buy when we are there... Just depends on how life goes between now and then... And if we can have the self control to save up a nice wad of cash for it, we would like to not have to finance much if any at all...

Oh I bet it would!! I wish we were closer to DL... We would be down there more often... I miss it so much, we have not been since 2002 and we have never taken the kids...

I am hoping... I think it would be put to good use with as much as we go... We have family and friends that love going to, so the points will never get wasted... ;)

Good to know!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Of course, if we weren't paying for 4 meals OOP and renting a car, and various other things, that could be a nice little start to our DVC fund now couldn't it... hmmm :scratchin

Has anyone tried that "Sum of all Thrills" ride at Epcot? I just found it on All Ears and realized it is a must see attraction... Just wondering if it is any good...

I liked the refurb pictures of Pop. I know for a lot of people the deluxes having more room, great pools etc. is a big plus, but for us, we don't use the pools, the handicap accessible rooms are a pretty decent size even for Pop and Pop actually has bigger roll in showers than the deluxes.

It cracks us up when we see pictures of "roll in showers" for the deluxes they are tiny compared to Pop but we understand because they were built long before Pop was.

I have never felt cramped in our room... Even when we had all of our junk for the 2 week trip, we were fine at Pop... My kids love the pools there and we all love the food court!!! I will admit, that part way through our long trip, I wanted a kitchen... I like to cook and it's part of my daily life and I was missing it... I know, I am weird...

Terry, the line was pretty long so I didn't get to ride it. But watching it, it looks cool

I figured that would be the case... Only 4 robotic arms that hold 2 guests a piece... That is nuts... Sounds like we will be racing there at ropedrop if we even want to stand a chance to do it...

I looked that up because I had never seen pictures of it and it is nuts :rotfl:. That thing looks crazy.

Just wanted to let you know that I went back and read your ptr and your tr from your Sept trip and really enjoyed both reports.

It is kinda like the Cyber Space Mountain at Disney Quest... I rode that 1 time last trip and it was great... I have got to try this new ride.... I love the fact that you can choose a Bobsled, Jet plane, or Roller Coaster ride... I want to try to jet plane...

Aren't they such a great family!! I was looking at your ticker, seems you are going to be in WDW around the time all of us are, are you staying onsite? Congrats on your first trip!!
