Any adults sleep on the small couch pull out bed? Reviews of that??
Yeah, that won't work. Poo. I'm guessing I can't change rooms at this point. My cruise is next month.
What are you looking to change to? Other than concierge level, all staterooms have the same queen bed + sofa. The only other option is a family stateroom with a murphy, but be aware that not all staterooms in that category will have the additional murphy bed.
I haven't slept in it, but I've always had the understanding that the sofa bed was a regular twin size mattress... it does have a slight "headboard" and "footboard" as the sofa armrests.
Enjoy your cruise!
Yes, that is an issue faced by non-related adults when sharing a stateroom on DCL. DCL doesn't offer the split-beds option anymore. The classic ships used to be able to do that -- split the queen into 2 twins -- but the Dream-class ships never did and the classics haven't for several years since a refurb was done.
You can try for a "family" stateroom -- depending on what category you already have booked, that may be an upgrade (upcharge); plus you'll need to be sure the room you book has a murphy since not all do.
Okay I may call and check to see. I did just Google and notice the family staterooms have a double sofa bed. That would help I just can't imagine sleeping on a single couch bed for a week!!!
Which ship are you on? I think the double pull-out sofa beds are only in Concierge rooms, but I could be mistaken. I'm sure someone else here can confirm yes or no.
If you do have to upgrade to a higher category room, you will pay the fare from the date you booked and not current fare if it has increased since then.
Enjoy your cruise!
That is only true in a Category V room which is Concierge level. For that type of room, you will get the double pull out sofa, but you will also get Concierge service and that comes at a steep price. The Dream
I'm 30-something, 5'8" and a stomach sleeper. I've slept on it for 7 cruises now (Mom gets the bed). I either tuck my toes in the bottom/end of the mattress, or sleep like a chalk outline from a detective story with knees bent. I usually have 3-4 inches of play for my arms, so I assume it's 6' long. I've always slept fairly well on it, actually, and the mattress is comfortable enough... I can't complain - I'm on a cruise!
