We dined there last week and enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere was great and the service was good.

I haven't eaten a meal there since Aug 03. It wasn't very good and most people were sending theirs back. The desserts on the other hand were fabulous then and still are. I've been since then and it's still worth it for the desserts.

love the coral reef!!

(used to love it more when they actually served lobster in the early 90s, but that's another story....)

anyway - the shrimp with pasta is really good, and there are a few chocolate desserts we look forward to!

This was a wonderful place to eat when we were there 3 years ago. CR will be our first dinner on our vacation in November! Good good, and excellent service!:)

Coral Reef is definitely a yes for our family. We went there last year for free dining and I was hesitant because of some of the bad reviews I had read on the Dis. We were pleasantly surprised, so much so that we will be getting ADR's there again on the dining plan (paid, this time)! The service was great and the atmosphere has got to be one of the best for a 1 TS restaurant. The aquarium makes for a wonderful experience, especially for the children. :fish: The food was good, the tuna dish was great. My kids thoroughly enjoyed their dishes as well. What more do you need for a great WDW meal?

LOVE the CORAL REEF. We tried it for the first time on our anniversary last October. The food was awesome. The kids loved the tanks. The services was wonderful. It is now a must do for us.

Coral Reef is my favorite! The food, service, and atmosphere are all wonderful. Going back again in September.

Great food and we did not eat seafood. The kids 1.5 and 4 loved the sea life. It was a little long for lunch (2 hours!) but we really had a nice time and would go back again.

We love the Coral reef so much that we are eating there twicw on our up coming Aug(12 days). trip

the coral reef is fantastic! Attentitive service, excellent food, the best atmosphere we had at any restaurant. The aquarium is really nice to look at. Those turtles are HUGE!

Half the seating at Coral Reef is in booths. They actually have booster seats for kids that are made for the booth. We've never seen anything like it but it was very handy to have the toddler sitting at the table right beside.

Suggestion, don't sit next to the aquarium. As much as it's very nice, children will keep coming and pressing their faces to the window. Intruding in on your otherwise cozy lunch/dinner environment.

Have a wonderful time.

The food is fairly good there but nothing too memorable. The atmosphere however is amazing and definitely worth the trip. The loved it and were entertained the entire meal!

Like many places at WDW, CR is about location (EPCOT) and atmosphere (aquarium view), not necessarily the "best seafood ever" YMMV. That said it is very nice and certainly worth a visit. We've eaten there a couple times during the F&W festival, and for lunch on our last visit. We enjoyed good food, a nice view and very good service; would happily go back anytime. FWIW.

We tried it for the first time in October and thought it was wonderful. The food and service were both excellent.

Absolutely correct! This place has very good food, but not "the best seafood ever". Keep in mind, they are not even the best on WDW property either.......the best on property would cost you quite a bit more than you will pay at Coral Reef. It is worth the money as a great restaurant though!

I love the atmosphere at coral reef. Also the steak is very good it tastes like it is charcoal grilled mmm mmm

There were some pros and cons to the CR, but I voted Yes.

Pros: Good food, great experience of dining next to the tank (we were seated on the lower level next to the tank)

Cons: Crowded, loud, crappy service
(we were told our table was ready, got up and thus lost our seats in the lobby, followed the hostess to "our table" only to be told she made a mistake and that wasn't the right table for us. we had to go back out and wait about 40 minutes. Then our server I think we only saw him 4 times the entire meal. Hopefully the change to the DDP to remove auto-tips will correct some of that...)

It was a decent meal. I'm not sure I'd go again, but I'm glad I experienced it.
