Seriously, back to people not understanding racism – a middle name is not racist. Haven’t they ever heard of the story about the boy who cried wolf? They need to stop crying false accusations of racism over everything so that they’ll be taken seriously when there is a real instance of racism that needs to be addressed. In my opinion, the Democratic Party has turned racism into a joke this election.

No, but they tried something similar with me last weekend using his initials. I had originally protested the use of McSame and Caribou Barbie last Saturday. They responded that it was no more demeaning than referring to Obama as BO....claiming it meant body odor. I thought it was just his initials. Just as we tend to shorthand everything and anything on a message board.
So, last Saturday it is demeaning, now Thursday it's a racial slur.
But of course no one can point out WHY it's a slur, just that it IS.

I have never used Obama's initials, but seeing how much it riles some people up is going to make it really hard to resist now.
This is the reason why public education is a failure.
We have raised up a generation of intolerant, ignorant people who are more content to pick a he said, she said battle, and whine when things aren't going their way, than to suck it up and work to fix the things that really need to be fixed.
It has taken all I have to not rip a new one in a few people for their comments on that other thread. I'm off to a hot bubble bath and bed. I would rather spend some time talking to my DH before I go to bed, instead of trying to defend my "closed minded-homophobic and racist opinions" to a few who wouldn't know logic if it smacked them upside the head.

I am not voting for Barack Obama simply because I don't agree with his policies and furthermore no matter what he says about the tax code it will still impact America to "rob from the rich, and give to the poor". If he honestly thinks that CEOs of major corporations and business owners aren't going to raise their prices or increase their profit margins somehow to make back what they lose b/c of his tax increases he is forgetting human nature. It's Trickle Down Economics, and it will hurt the common man far more than his tax cut would help.
