For those of us who are white, we are in no position to consider anything amusing. It is better to just assume that everything has the potential to be offensive to someone else, and so we should just all cower in the corner and walk on eggshells. Yeah, screw that noise.

You know, I find political correctness to be un-politically correct. So, I'm going to rebel against political correctness. No walking on eggshells for me! Call me Ms. Offensive.

*whispering* Do you realize there are people who voted and are rabid obama fans that DO NOT know what his full name is? I could care less what his name is, too, but they're denying what it actually is!

I cannot decide if I should find comfort in BO having Clinton people around him. They do know way more then he does. If I were Hilary right now I would be so angry. He wins and then uses all the experience from her husband.

Yes the Swan /Dolphin is just the best imho! We are staying at Music this summer because of the 7/4 deal, unless S/D comes out with an equal or better discount. Our last stay at the Dolphin DH had turned Diamond (or whatever they call the "I live in hotels" people) and we got an upgrade to a center club room. Watched the Epcot fireworks out the window. :lovestruc It was awesome!!!!!

You're right. Cabaret is totally wrong for us!

Don't take this the wrong way, but sometimes late at night, when no one is watching, I just love JAZZ HANDS!

Well, the only form of entertainment that I can provide tonight is one of those e-mail forward quizes that tells you which cartoon character you are most like. So, without further ado... here's something to keep you (and those OS lurkers out there ;) ) highly amused for the next few minutes....

_________________________________________________________________
Everyone has a personality of a cartoon character.

Have you ever asked yourself what cartoon character do you most resemble? A group of investigators got together and analyzed the personalities of well known and modern 20 cartoon characters. The information that was gathered was made into this test.

Answer all the questions (only 10) with what describes you best, add up all your Points (which are next to the answer that you choose) at the end and look for your results. Do not cheat by looking at the end before you are done

1. Which one of the following describes the perfect date? a) Candlelight dinner (4 pts.) b) Fun/Theme Park (2 pts.) c) Painting in the park (5 pts) d)Rock concert (1 pt.) e) Going to the movies (3 pts.)

2. What is your favorite type of music? a) Rock and Roll (2 pts.) b) Alternative (1 pt.) c) Soft Rock (4 pts.) d) Country (5 pts ) e) Pop (3 pts.)

Now add up your points and find out the answer you have been waiting for!

(10-16 points) You are Garfield : You are very comfortable le, easy going, and you definitely know how to have fun but sometimes you take it to an extreme. You always know what you are doing and you are always in control of your life. Others may not see things as you do, but that doesn't mean that
you always have to do what is right. Try to remember, your happy
spirit may hurt you or others.

(17-23 points) You are Snoopy: You are fun; you are very cool and popular. You always know what's in and you're never out of style , you are good at knowing how to satisfy everyone else. You have probably disappeared for a few days more than once but you always come home with the family values that you learned. Being married and having children are important to you, but only after you have had your share of fun times

(24-28 points) You are Elmo: You have lots of friends and you are also popular, always willing to give advice and help out a person in need. You are very optimistic and you always see the bright side of things. Some good advice: try not to be too much of a dreamer. Dreaming too big could cause many conflicts in your life.

(29-35 points) You are Sponge Bob Square Pants: You are the classic person that everyone loves. You are the best friend that anyone could ever have and never wants to lose. You never cause harm to anyone and they would never not understand your feelings. Life is a journey, it' s funny and calm for the most part Stay away from traitors and jealous people and you will be stress free.

(36-43 points) You are Charlie Brown: You are tender, you fall in love quickly but you are also very serious about all relationships. You are a family person. You call your Mom every Sunday. You have many friends and may occasionally forget a few Birthdays. Don't let your passion confuse you with reality.

(44-50 points ) You are Dexter: You are smart and definitely a thinker... Every situation is fronted with a plan. You have a brilliant mind. You demonstrate very strong family principles. You maintain a stable routine but never ignore a bad situation when it comes. Try to do less over thinking every once in a while to spice things up a bit with spontaneity! Now don't spoil it! Have some Fun!

*whispering* Do you realize there are people who voted and are rabid obama fans that DO NOT know what his full name is? I could care less what his name is, too, but they're denying what it actually is!

*whispering* what? which thread?

that is a good one!

Can you believe I am a Sponge Bob? I canNOT stand Sponge Bob. Thankfully DD has about out grown him.

As I said, I know it's "just a hotel." There are many more important things to be upset about in life, and I'm sorry if y'all took it as I'm some spoiled brat. Y'all will have to please excuse my brief pity party on the matter. I used to love CBR, but it has been ruined for me now that it's been Nemo-ified. We all spend a lot of time in our Resort. Theme is very important to me, and they screwed that up completely for me at CBR (i.e. Australia is not in the Caribbean). A very unpleasant time in my life is associated with the last time I went to Riverside, and I do not want those memories to hit me in the face again. My family hates Coronado Springs and refuse to return there, and my dad does not like French Quarter at all. So that leaves Nemo rooms or bad memories. Neither are appealing to me.

We as a family are very tight with money. We give more money to charity and churches than we spend on our annual main vacation, which is how we think it should be. We spend next to nothing on ourselves the entire year, except during vacation. Even during vacation, we eat breakfast in the room all but 2 days, we split CS meals, and we usually just order an appetizer and dessert on the rare occasions we eat at a TS. We could not in any way shape or form afford a Deluxe again for the forseeable future, but with the 7 for 4 deal, even staying in WL we'd have paid roughly $1400 less than what we paid this year for our trip. That would put us right at the amount we almost always pay for our WDW vacation. So, I was let down that they don't want to go there.

And beyond that, this is likely to be my last Disney trip for the forseeable future. As long as I stay in the job I should be placed in next year around April-May, I will only get vacation time during part of July, and a couple days here and there for major holidays. I will get zero vacation days during the year otherwise. I cannot go to the World in July because I can't handle the heat. So, my family can continue going if they want to, but I cannot. This was my last chance indefinitely to either return to WL or try out AKL or even my dad's 30+ year pipe dream of the Poly. I'm lucky to have ever gone to WDW even once, but as I'm watching my vacation dreams fly out the window for 10 or more years, yes, I'm a bit down in the dumps. :headache:

I think The One had no idea what he was getting himself into. This man has absolutely no executive experience and all of the sudden here he is, Leader of the Free World. He doesn't have a clue what to do. He's chosing all of these former Clinton people because they have BTDT.

I really find it amazing how little experience he has, and how OS don't seem to care. :confused3

I got 30 points, so I'm SpongeBob! :rotfl2:

I'm Spongebob?! Yeah, I don't think so.

SD, I don't mind the pity party. I don't know when I'll get to go to WDW so we'll have one together.
I do believe we're going to DL/CA at least one day, though. So I'm thankful I get to go at least there.

Now, now, Blestmom. bo has experience, just not experience in anything relevant unless it's surrounding yourself with...let me just stop right there.

 to all my not feeling well Conservatives.

You're right. Cabaret is totally wrong for us!

But we can bust out with a 'Manahmahnah' skit upon request........

Me too ! :thumbsup2

Like none of them have never listened to Howard Stern or Opie & Anthony  . Nope - not a one.

Going to take the Dolce quiz now.............

I am so sorry and I do NOT think you are acting spoiled ( I doubt anyone does).

Would your family consider sharing a cabin at Ft Wilderness? You could cook some simple meals and I understand there is a ton of stuff to do there.

If you are not in the parks all day and night I agree that a nice hotel is important.

Is anyone a nurse or teacher? That is how we get the nice discount at the Swan or Dolphin. Have you tried to send pictures of the hotel you want to stay at to show them how nice it is?

Ditto! Especially the first sentence!

Mmmmm.....cake!

I can't believe y'all haven't mentioned Alan Keyes going after Hussein regarding his questionable citizenship.

BTW, does anyone have an update on Hussein's response to the SC? He only has til Dec. 1st doesn't he?
I'd love to know more about this. I thought Berg lost his case.

Hi guys. I'm sick, my chest hurts, I'm cranky, my house is a complete mess, and I have to go get a crown.

That's it, just wanted to whine in my safe place. :lmao:

Carry on.
Hope you feel better soon.

:sad1:

I was just going over all of my spreadsheet WDW data with my dad, and he does not want to stay at anything other than a moderate resort. I'm very disappointed. I could've easily left off the info. for the mods, but I wanted to be honest. So when he saw those rates and how cheap they were, he was adamant he didn't want to stay at a Deluxe. If there had been openings in my field this year, I could've paid the difference. But naturally there were none and I'm stuck waiting until Feb.-March to go through the process all over again. I know it's just a hotel, but I seriously just went in the other room and cried a little, I was so let down.

As I said, I know it's "just a hotel." There are many more important things to be upset about in life, and I'm sorry if y'all took it as I'm some spoiled brat. You don't need to apologize - at least not to me. I'm not inferring this of you, so don't take it that way, but I am such THE hotel snob. If I'm paying for a vacation (which is VERY rare for us), I want the best because who knows when I'll be going back. I completely understand what you mean and think you have no reason to apologize.

I like to absorb the atmosphere in any hotel I stay in. That's all a part of the fun for me. :)

Ok- I'm Elmo!!!!! YAYYYY!!! (said in my best Elmo sqeaky voice)

I also agree on not being in the rooms all the time at WDW. Especially since I am the 'Commander' when we go. But at least I learned much info from these boards for next trip. :thumbsup2

Last trip, pre- DIS boards, we stayed at CBR.

I had no idea "Trinidad North' really was in Trinidad. :faint:

Thanks, and you too hockeymom. I felt bad because I thought people took it as I was being selfish and greedy, and I'd hate for anyone to think of me like that. We spend about 10-13 hours a day at whatever resort we're in and only go to the parks at mid-day, so it is important to me to have a resort I like. I'll have to check into the cabins. My field is in school systems, but not as a teacher (I'm a counselor), and no one's a nurse in our fam.

We've stayed in WL twice before (which I frankly like better than some of the parks, that's how much I love it; hence the sadness), but we've visited AKL and the Poly. I was showing my mom the website earlier after I first posted about it all, and she was shocked when I showed her we'd be paying over $100 less for WL or AKL than we would have if we had booked a Moderate resort with a water view at full price, which is what my dad had been talking about doing anyway. I had tried to explain that to them earlier, but I apparently did a dopey (pardon the pun :rotfl2: ) job. She told me she's going to talk to him tomorrow, so we'll see. Not hopeful though since he's already seen the cheapie (if you can even call that cheap! :rotfl: ) mod prices. I honestly would never blame him for wanting to take the opportunity to save even more money, but it's still disappointing.
