God forbid you would ever take a pay cut or give backs the same as you would have your employees do.

And just out of curiosity, aren't you a financial planner? You sure spend a lot of time here on the DIS. Maybe you could spend more time figuring out how to get through these tough economic times that your current president has overseen rather than blaming the man who will have to get us out of it.

Just a thought.

Yea, how dare you have freedom of choice as to plan your day as you see fit. Get back to work so you can give those poor, helpless folks a handout, as I guess they don't have the desire to help themselves with a handup.:rotfl2:

i received a 20 point infraction because of my cute picture of 0 with a plunger over his face. i suspect that unreasonable person on the dark side thread complained.

they have removed my picture for me.

Reason: Signature Rule Violation

The clipart in your signature goes against the DIS's guidelines concerning no negative political signatures and has been removed.

You know, the rule specifically mentions SIGNATURES. If you wanted to put that pic at the end of every message, so long as it's not in your signature... :rolleyes1

Many of those far left whackos are humorless, hateful, sorry individuals. They can't even be happy that their own guy won!

ANY time one of the OS posts on our thread, I think we should all report them for "stirring the pot" or whatever the term they use is. Don't lay down and give up the fight and allow the nasty OS to win.

THIS post, for example, seems to be inciting. :rolleyes1

Speaking of President Bush, I heard Glen Beck talking about the meeting that he had with the president last year at the White House. He was allowed to talk about his "impression" but no notes, tapes, no quotes about exactly what was said. His concern was that the president wasn't doing enough to defend himself. Well a year has gone by and the NYT broke the story of various special ops forays into various countries, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria, etc that we have been engaged in since the beginning of the war on terror. Beck said, "now that the story is out, I can comment on it." He wouldn't repeat the numbers, but he said that the numbers of Al Qaeda that we have killed are STAGGERING. He also said that President Bush shared information with them that could have vindicated him off all of the reckless charges that the left has made, but he (Bush) feels that for whatever reason, it isn't the time. He feels that the country is of prime importance and he is willing to be hated because we came 'that close to anialation" He feels that history will ultimately treat him kindly. Did anyone else here that?

I haven't heard it, but I believe it. I always felt the MSM may be giving out TMI on our military as it is.
This is so interesting. This would make a fantastic book or TV show.

BTW- Steven King is a douche.

I'm sorry that happened to you. But I think we should stay off their thread. We don't like it when they come here and try to incite arguments. Just remember they can try to get our thread closed. And not all of them start trouble with us.

If they come here to start trouble, well then we can offer them Preperation H for their 'roids. :goodvibes

:guilty: :sad1:

i wrote back to ask if i could use it on THIS board, since nobody seemed to mind, but no response.

If I had Nobama in my signature is that considered negative?

I wish I was a graphic artist. I would do a picture of Obama's head peaking out of my pocket saying, "I've got her change."

First off, I'm not a financial planner. Secondly, I thought it was humorous (albeit dark). Apparently, you didn't.

There are some who want to intimidate and shut down whoever disagrees with them. That must be their idea of "free" speech. It will only get worse with BO in office. **shudders**

I would NEVER post on the OS thread....FOR ANY REASON. I know I can but, I think everyone should have a safehaven. I don't understand "why" some feel the need to pop over and stick a jab.:confused3 I guess, it's because they can and have nothing better to do. IMHO

seriously, how could they not realize that was a satirical email?!

I thought it was a bit on the humorous side, myself...but then again if it were a real-life scenario, my job would have been secure :)

That's absolutely ridiculous. It was a parody, not threatening in any way, and ONLY offensive to those who voted for 0.

Get use to it, it's the new order of things.

zactlee! reminds me of something my father said the other day. i had gone off on some tangent about taxes and how the next person in the whitehouse was going to eliminate the desire for anybody to succeed....work harder/gain more success/earn more money/have money taken away...that whole cycle. and then i said something like, "what a dummy". my father was being light, but when you think about it, it isn't all that funny these days...he said, "careful, the cia is listening."

:scared1:

Listen, this is their site and they can ban whatever political speech they want to. HOWEVER, make a commitment RIGHT NOW that you will NOT stand for political censorship in real life. This will be a MAJOR feature of the Obama presidency — the erosion of First Amendment rights. His presidency will be a failure, that's nearly a given, so he will have to use the powers of government to silence all opposition. STAND FIRM. We still have a Constitution (at least until Obama gets to make 3 Supreme Court appointments). Radical leftists like him DESPISE free speech. They really, truly DESPISE it. They will try to use the "offensive" argument — that all criticism of Obama is "offensive" or "racist" or "inciting." Do NOT give in to the fear and intimidation. It will be a long four years of trying to preserve the Constitution. Fight every single assault on it. It's no coincidence that the Obama stylized posters resemble the Che Guevara drawing. Obama draws from the exact same totalitarian ideology. All opposition is outlawed; all opponents are destroyed or imprisoned. Find your Constitution and hold it close. We're all gonna need it.

History will remember Bush more than kindly. If Europe falls to Islamic totalitarianism, as many experts predict at least France, Denmark, and possibly England will — in our lifetime — Bush will be seen as the single man who stood between the United States and that catastrophe. He recognized a threat the left simply refuses to see. Hopefully, Obama's single term won't push us too far along that path, but history will definitely see Bush as a hero who took heaps of abuse from his political opposition because he thought saving his nation was worth it, and they were simply ideologically unable to recognize the very real threat. I predict a lot of books in the next 20 or so years with titles like "Why didn't they get it?" and "Bush was right."

Interesting reading about another one of H's appointees - Valerie Jarrett: [from the Chicagoans at Hillbuzz]

:sad2:

I find this part to be so telling:

This Administration’s shaping up to give President Grant’s a run for its money as the most corrupt in American history — if old Chicago patterns all hold, and more friends of Tony Rezko end up in our government.

I used to be naive and believe that the GWB administration is corrupt and I wanted real change in Washington and the corruption gone. I've had a rude wake-up call this election and now see what's really going on. It still continues to baffle me at all of the people who honestly believe Obama to be a good guy that's going to make a real [positive] change in Washington. It still continues to baffle me at all of the people who honestly believe that Obama's not friends with people like Ayers (who, finally came out and said they're family friends) even though research can tie the two working closely together back to 1987 and there’s reasonable belief that they met while Obama was a student at Columbia and that Obama never heard any of Rev Wrights hate sermons. It really isn't surprising that he will create a cabinet full of corrupted people, the man himself is poster child for corruption.

I actually feel sad for the people who are clueless, didn't do their research on the man, and honestly believe that he'll make a positive change to this country. They are in for a serious let down that we’ll all suffer for. I'm not going to post about what I think in regards to the people who knew how corrupt he is, how he's going to ruin this country and gleefully voted for him because he had a 'D' behind his name, or because he's black, in order to get the man elected for selfish reasons that aren’t in the best interest of this country.

It’s going to be a hard four years. I predict that the economy will continue to tank, taxes will seriously raise and the living standards that people are accustomed to living will drastically change, crime will continue to rise as it tends to do when the going gets tough and we’ll have several of our rights taken away from us.

I have a question. Why have the "bailout" funds not been allocated? I've heard, that if the money hasn't been "spent" by the time BO takes office, ...he will make sure it's done. What was the rush? Was it all a ruse? I know they want ACORN and the unions to get some of the money. Is this the dems way of slipping it through?

Did you read Mark Styne's book, America Alone? Excellent book.

I had not heard that, but I believe it. I have been laughed at more than I can say for saying that George W Bush will be remembered by history as one of the greats. The men who serve during hard times, the ones who make the tough calls, are always so harshly judged. They are always unpopular in their own time. Once history has time to put his presidnecy in perspective, he will be remembered well. I know it.

it is always interesting to listen to a ben stein interview. he worked for r. nixon, and ALWAYS adds, "listen, richard nixon was a great man". he's not afraid to say something that isn't popular because he feels it in his heart and doesn't care what others think. he knows what he knows. i hope gwb has somebody who will do the same.

kinda weird, and probably i haven't looked in the exact right place, but i actually couldn't find the "negative political images" part in the guidelines. so i wrote to ask where that is, 'cause i've probably missed a million other things i should know. http://www.wdwinfo.com/guidelines.htm

thought about just adding that picture to my posts, but i feel like i'm in trouble and sitting in the corner as it is...:sad1:
