No, he's a third year at Liberty. He is tall (over six feet) wih blond hair. He is my best friend's cousin. His dad is a Southern Baptist minister. He is a nice guy - very smart, very conservative, and very responsible. His sister just started law school at Liberty this year also.

So he's a conservative and a Southern Baptist like I am? In the words of Mickey Mouse: Well, hot dog!

And Debbie: Don't get any ideas with your sharp elbows. :rotfl:

OMG!! I finally talked to my MIL. She tried really hard to be gracious....barely talked about the election....IT WAS MUCH WORSE!!! She wants DH and I to go to the inauguration:scared1: I couldn't believe it but, yet I shouldn't be surprised. She has invitations to one of the balls. She said, she knows I'm not a democrat (that's an understatement) but, "it's a historical occaision." :scared: She's sure DH wants to go. I know he could care less..and I'd rather give have a "do-it-yourself" root canal...while, having my toenails pulled out...one by one. I told her we had vacation plans the week before...it would be hard to be gone that long. This is sad but, I can't and won't go. The inauguration is not something I can celebrate. I hate hurting her feelings but, geesh....she should know better.

Whew, aren't you glad that's over! -- it's great to know that, despite your varied political views, your MIL does value your relationship enough to be gracious.

And, no kidding about that inauguration...your response to her was very tactful. I'm glad you've gotten all that over with.

Just wondering, if JM/SP had won, would there be the same hoopla surrounding this event? It, too, would have been historical....

Yes! And he likes smart women! Anyway, I just called his cousin, and she is all for us setting you two up! Any ideas!?

Oh, but does he love Disney? And Donald? And, if he doesn't, would that be a deal-breaker for you SD?

oooooo, can we come too?

I love road trips -- and I wouldn't get in the way at all! I'll have my best spy outfit on -- like this:

I dunno. I'm clear on the other side of the state. I actually was a Liberty grad student, albeit briefly, in 2005. I was going to get my Master's through their distance learning program. But, they goofed on telling me how long it would take (aka way too long). So, I changed plans and went back to my undergrad alma mater (in person, no DL program there). The Lynchburg area is gorgeous though. A friend of mine from HS got his Bachelor's degree and his Master's there as well. He's now a youth minister.

Wee bit ahead of yourself, debbie. :rotfl2: But my mom worked as a secretary for an insurance company when she was in her late teens. One of the customers was the Duck family, and they named their son Donald. Donald Duck. Priceless! :lmao: Wonder if his middle name was Fauntleroy... :rotfl:

Disney would be a deal breaker, methinks. And does he like baseball? If he is a Mets or Yankees fan, I may have a problem with that. :rotfl2:

Debbie, love the picture!

 hannity just showed the cover of time magazine...anybody else seen it? obama's new deal...

I don't think I wanna know. I haven't eaten yet.

On that note, I must go eat a late dinner. Be back later. Hopefully y'all won't have planned my wedding and the lives and names of my as of yet non-existant future children while I'm away.

Behave! Or else I will return like Donald Duck, hopping up and down on one foot and swinging one arm and fist. I just bought the Disney Treasures DVDs The Chronological Donald, Volume 4 today. Don't think I won't do it! :rotfl2:

I honestly have no idea if he likes Disney. His cousin is a Disney FANATIC like me so at least there seems to be a Disney gene in the family.:lmao: Maybe we can just ya'll to swap emails? He will be visiting here soon so we will come up with a plan.....

BTW, Donald Duck is my 2 1/2 YO DD's favorite character! She loves him and wouldn't leave him alone when she say him at Epcot. It was so cute.

**edited to add** I might could stomach the party but, the swearing-in..... That would be more than my conservative heart could bear.:sad1:

You could always go just to dress up! Make sure to wear a Palin/Jindal 2012 pin.:rotfl:

Ya'll know anyone else? My 27 yo SIL needs a hubby. ;) She's never married, no kids (never been with anyone, if you know what I mean), very strong Christian, dad is a chaplain in the Army. She's currently in VA.
Anybody? :rotfl:

Well, if the thing with Sorcerer Donald doesn't work out, I have just the guy!;) He does have a brother, but he is proposing to his girlfriend this summer.

What is everybody else up to?

It's 9:30 and I have no idea where my children are!!!

There are all over 18 and out of the house!!:rotfl2:

I'm good. Hubby's in bed and I'm fooling around online and the boards of course. Not much going on here otherwise.

Your puppy is getting bigger already, bb! He's a cutie!

Hour four of being a deer widow and I've already cleaned up his side of the bedroom, cut and organized my coupons, and threw out most of the magazine pile after a quick go through. I usually have a brand new coach purse in my hand by now so I'm trying to stay away from the malls!

I made the mistake, and it was MISTAKE because I've been with him since 84, of saying, "I hope you catch a deer." I got laughed at. lol

OH, DD is at work, and since it is the weekend I don't expect to see her till Sunday night, but she's 23 so not my problem.
DS is in his room playing WOW. He occassionally runs out to tell me what new quest he's finished, but I have no idea what it all means.

Yeppers.. .its an exciting night in the W household! *rolling eyes*
