You've GOT to be kidding me? How can Minn. vote in Al Franken AND Sen. Michele Bachman at the same time? What's going on out there? Multiple personality disorder?

I thought Al Franken lost?!?!?! He won?!?!?!?!?!

Oh, BTW, hi everyone! :) We're some busy people with a lot to say!

I was on the abortion thread for a while. Very sad. :sad2:

Hey, no one answered if they would be at WDW during Easter time.............anyone? I know I'm crazy for visiting that time of year but I needed a fix and that was the only time we could work it out.

Nope sorry,, Just finished our cruise and Easter is blacked out for the Disney offer. OItherwise I's seriously consider it.

Anyone want some "kack" to go with that "poo"???

kack.jpg

I found this on my first trip to Sweden and just had to bring some back as a conversation piece!!!!

 What is "kack"!?:lmao:

I wonder which Corp I will be put in. I hope the uniform is pretty.

Note the helpful reminder about Nader........

:)

Ok guess calvary is not for me. I don't look good in swirly.

:cool1: Thanks Breezy! Much appreciated.

I'm going to be here off and on this weekend. I really just want to sleep in my own bed, but I have to housesit and deal with the most exasperating dog on the face of the planet. I'm exhausted, not having a good day, so I just hope the dog can RELAX and sleep today 'cause that's all I'm doing...

Anyone else near Seattle going to see Dr. Laura tomorrow? I'm so pumped! I've always wanted to see her "In my not so humble opinion show" and tomorrow's the day!!!!!!!!! Wooohooo!!!!!!!!!!!     :dance3: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Enjoy! Let us know how it goes.

What is wrong with you people?? Trying to keep up with this thread is like watching a monkey on crack.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: Monkey on crack.:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I thought Al Franken lost?!?!?! He won?!?!?!?!?!
No, not yet... but I'll go on record to say that he will. Clerks all over the state are looking for more votes for him and they only have to find a few hundred more and he'll be in like flint. And then there'll be the state-wide recount that'll pop up some more for Franken. When I saw Coleman's lead after election night, I knew what was coming. On top of that, the Minn SOS was voted into office with the help and backing of MoveOn, so Coleman can forget about any rulings that will favor him.

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!!!

I was cleaning my bedroom and found a Disney mailer just for our family and thought, what the heck - let's call and see what they've got.

So I called and ended up booking a trip. I have until tomorrow to call and cancel. I can't believe I did this - it's totally not like me!

Anyway, I don't know if I'm getting a good/fair or bad price. Would you mind helping me? (I know it's not the thread for this, but I trust all of you).

It's $2472.37 for December 14-20th at Port Orleans Riverside. We are two adults, three children. Tickets are park hoppers and this includes Disney Dining. The room has a trundle bed for our littlest one and it includes travel insurance and taxes.

Did I do okay? According to the website, if I just did the tickets and the room it would cost $2404 before insurance and taxes.

Tell me what you all think.

BTW, I did this without DH knowing. He knows now (told him when he came home for lunch) and he was all for it. The only problem will be him cancelling out his patients and finding another physician to cover for him. This will be very difficult, but it could happen. He did tell me to go with the kids by myself if he couldn't go. Not sure if I want to do that.

Oh my word -

Oh, and about affording it - well, we CAN afford it, but I'm trying to knock out his med school debt which is AMAZINGLY high. We have some CC debt that I've been knocking down, so we aren't in the best place financially, but we are okay. The thing is, my kids don't get to go on vacations often. Since we've been married (it will be 15 years in January) we've gone on vacation once - that was to WDW two years ago. We never do things as a family - not even going out to eat or the movies. The most we do is go see my parents in the Detroit area and that's just me and the kids (and normally happens when someone is sick down there).

So, what do you think?

GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!:dance3:

Ok, hi guys.... I ain't reading back. That would take all day.:rotfl:

Go go go go! :yay:

Tink, you're not helping me - is this a decent price?

Should we stay onsite or stay offsite to save a little money? What is Riverside like? Is it nice? We've only stayed at the Contemporary - it was WONDERFUL. Am I going to be disappointed in staying in a moderate? I'm a hotel snob, not so much for decorations, but for cleanliness. Is it clean there? How's the pool?

So many questions - guess I should head over to the resort board, eh?

I know I'm not helping. ;) I haven't been in 10 years and I've never stayed at the resorts, never gone more than 2 days at a time max. I'm just excited for you. ;)

From what I could see, it's a decent price, IMO.

good grief...not only did I miss like the last 20 or so pages of the last thread, I wake up and see there's a new one and it's nearly 40 pages in already!!!

I can't remember if I posted or not, but Jacob didn't make it home on Tuesday. Monday he had ALOT of things done and they took their toll on him, and he had a "brady" episode, which means his heart rate dropped more than 50% below normal, and he stopped breathing for more than 20 seconds. The nurses had to pick him up and stimulate him to get him started breathing again. The doctor that morning had said she felt it would be better to hold off another day or two before discharging him. At first I was a little ticked but in hindsight I'm so thankful. Had I taken him home or even roomed in with him that night he would have died while in my care because he wouldn't have been on the monitors that went into alarm when he stopped breathing.

Because of that, he's on a 5 day "countdown" where he has to go 5 days without another episode before they will consider discharging him again. He's got 3 days down so far and he's in the midst of day 4 right now. We're looking at Sunday night rooming in and Monday discharge now.

Since he had not had any episodes prior to this one, they are pretty sure it was just stress from having to much done to him in such a short time. He got a HepB shot, circumcision, tylenol, change in his milk fortification, new bottle to feed from, and increase in breastfeeding (he's only on breastmilk but getting it from a bottle for 5-6 feeds per day-we went to 3), all in the course of just a few hours.

I think of all the things that any new mother fears, and having him stop breathing is probably my worst one, because he could do that when I'm not there. I'm not pushing anymore to get him home, I'll just bide my time and let him get stronger first...besides, Tuesday is my 1st wedding anniversary, so we'll have something else to celebrate :)

Happy anniversary and I'm praying for Jacob to get better soon.

I'll second this!

:wizard:

OK really have to get off this computer!! It's been fun - I will be out of town until Monday night. So...let's see...I will be 113 pages behind when I get back!:rotfl:

Have a great weekend everyone!!

We're staying at POR for Christmas. My dad said that lady who helped him book our trip said POR is one of the best resorts at WDW, so we're looking forward to staying there.

Think about it.... Palin is very smart Woman and would not be where she is if she were not...so i find some of these accusations to be very questionable.[/QUOTE]

You've got that right. Living in Wasilla, I know first-hand just how smart and savvy she is. That is why all the talk of her being 'dumb' is just so ridiculous...and maddening. They are threatened by her. They just don't know what to do with a smart, savvy, capable, effective, likable, conservative, female politician. So they attack her...

If she were a smart, savvy, capable, effective, likable, liberal female politician, they would fawn all over her.

Now I just read the abortion thread and my stomach hurts. Zygot stage?? Never heard of that. I guess it makes it easier to have an abortion when you don't view it as a baby. Why in the world would anyone go on a public message board an announce they had an abortion. I'm shocked that the dis is even allowing that.

A while back Glenn Beck talked about the left and abortion. He read some quotes from an interview with Dr. Peter Singer, who holds the chair of Bioethics at Princeton University. Dr. Singer said that Roe vs. Wade was too restrictive. Now remember that this guy heads up the Bioethics dept. at Princeton. Dr. Singer believes that parents should be able to abort their babies even AFTER they are born and believes it could be as late as the age of 2!

it is so sad that a person could feel this way about a child, be they born or unborn.:sad2:

Jeepers, creepers guys
You type so much
Anyways, I am a Disney CM and would LOVE to meet anyone when they come down
Currently, I work days and can meet up for a quick snack
I get in the parks for free, so meeting at a park is not a problem
Soarin' you are going to have so much fun as a CP
I cant wait to meet you
I can show you all around property control and all kinds of things
Heck, I can even have you over for homemade food

I don't get it...I got points for quoting an article that described the procedure for a late-term abortion that Obama SUPPORTED, yet that abortion thread is allowed??:confused3
