Interesting article regarding the make-up of President elect Obama's transition team advisors.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122654867683123733.html?mod=googlenews_wsj

I am not very critical of the team make-up other than the general observation that his use of former lobbyists or those who worked for lobby firms (6 out of the 19 named) is not consistent with his pledge to curtail the use of lobbyists in his administration.

Although, as with any situation where there is a gap between what he says and what he does, I am sure it will somehow be because Bush made him do it or our simple minds just cannot grasp the transcendental nuancity (I just made up a word) of his noble intent.

(hehe being sarcastic is fun hehe)

Hey everyone!!! :)

Did the best I could to catch up.... I hate I haven't been on in a couple days, but I had a nasty little virus yesterday and was laid up in bed all day. So hasn't been the best couple days for me....

I just added him today. I have a good feeling that's the face of 2012's Conservative Republican president-elect. :)

I agree. Sarcasm is a service I offer. :lmao:
At my former job I had a sign that said, "The Romans did not build Rome by holding meetings. The Romans built Rome by killing all who opposed them". They made me keep it hidden.
They also looked at me strangely when during the holidays I had a little Christmas village on my desk. Of course, the strange looks could have been because I stuck a godzilla in the middle of it.

Are you sure we're not related? We've had quite a few bad guys and monsters as part of Christmas displays over the years. Scary thing is, I put them there, not the kids! The Nativity I don't mess with, but it did have pokemon watching over baby Jesus one year, and when i was given the reason, I didn't yell at the culprit for touching it.

I'm here and need to catch up, but first had to share this. Bill Ayers is being a chatty Cathy now. And oh gee whiz... in a re-release of his 2001 book, he has added an afterword in which he admits he and Obama were family friends, and that he held the initial fundraiser for Obama. Of course, he says he never said that about they should've set more bombs (bull! ) and that the Republicans essentially manipulated his connection to Obama into something bad.

"Ayers, a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, adds few new details about his relationship with Obama in the afterword to Fugitive Days: Memoirs of an Anti-War Activist. The book is being reissued this month.

“We had served together on the board of a foundation, knew one another as neighbors and family friends, held an initial fund-raiser at my house, where I’d made a small donation to his earliest political campaign,” he writes."

So, who besides me is thinking "We told you so!" right now in regards to all the people who adamantly told us they weren't friends and he didn't hold the initial event for Obama? :rolleyes1

I'm not surprised....:rolleyes1

I hope in four years the people who voted BO in realize that all the pretty words in the world won't cover up the truth. They heard what they wanted to hear - now they need to wake up.

The OS zombies might still be zombies but there were "conservatives" who voted for BO - here's hoping and praying they'll soon see the error of their ways ... in time for the 2010 mid-terms...

Hid away until after he won, just like jeremiah wright.

There may be some OS who aren't totally brainwashed and might soon snap out of it. Of course, too late to do anything now.

My dishwasher would cost $600 to fix, so DH and I are looking today and I think that I'd like the dishdrawer. Do any of you have the dish drawer dishwasher and do you like it! Thank-you!!

We have the Kitchenaid dish drawer and like it very much. The installation is quite a bit more involved than a traditional unit. Ours is very quiet and does a real good job.:thumbsup2

received this un-funny "joke" in the mail.

What do the American economy and the German Reichstag have in common?

Socialists burned them both down and then blamed the opposition for it.

..and got away with it.
