If you believe that "Joe Republican" is a typical (stereotypical ) everyday Republican, then you'd be correct. But somehow I doubt that "Joe Republican" is really anything like the majority of Republicans anymore than a "Joe Democrat" is anything like the "bleeding heart crybaby lazy fancy pants godless" liberal depicted in the "joke".

Sweetie - why don't you go back to the beginning of that thread and take a look at who fired the first shot. I was EXTREMELY respectful when I posted on that thread in the beginning. Admitting that I did tend to lean to the left but I agreed with Conservatives on many points -spending, illegal immigration, and security - to name a few. John, Bet, Jasmine and I had great talks. And besides one very snarky comment to Heather - in which I apologized - I felt I was on my best behaviour.

But here's a thought - why don't you just GET OVER IT. If you feel I"m being disrespectful there is nothing I can do about it and frankly I don't really care. I'll post where I want as Kathy told us is okay to do. There is an ignore feature - I would be honored to be on your list.

I doubt it...Obama and Hillary are further left than McCain is right.

He'd have to pick Pat Robertson to jerk the ticket as far right as an Obama/insert any Democrat here would be left.

I think experience is going to be the main issue.

It's pretty much a given that either candidate needs the Indies to win, and I'm going on the assumption (perhaps prematurely) that Obama will get the Dem nod. Obama has their interest, as the polls can attest to. McCain, not so much. His choice of a Conservative running mate will just alienate them even more, and anyone even remotely Bush-like will send them running to Obama. Just one of my predictions.

For the libs, conservatives, or any group to ask for a no debate thread is ok. Respecting that goes to the character of those joininig the thread.

Telling me to get over it is quite rude, but in this thread, go for it. Outside of being against board policy generally, it's all good here.
