Also pixel size matters. If you compare 20 MP to 12 MP the 12 MP will gather more light. The larger the pixel the more light that can be gathered. The sensor size remains the same. The more pixels you put into the sensor the smaller the pixels get. The more resolution you want the more pixels you need.

I went with 12 for this reason
