Hi

Do all brides even UK brides get the complimentary disney park annual passes? And do you still get them on the Escape package?

Dont suppose anyone has a free e-copy of that e-passport disney wedding book thing do they? We are having a really tougj few months financially and cant even warrent paying anything for a book.:sad2:

It seems a bit in poor taste to request a free copy of the book since the author is arguably the most frequent poster on this board, it is less than $10 and the exchange rate is in your favor.

To answer your initial post, I'm not sure if UK brides get the free AP.

I would suggest that if you aren't able to buy the book, then you'll have to dig through the planning journals to get the information you need. I enjoyed reading the planning journals and finding new things that I never would have thought of on my own, but some people would just like to get to the gist of the information.

I think she meant the guidebooks, PassPorter. There is a Disney Wedding specific one available as an ebook or hardcopy.

I'm most surprised that you can afford a DFTW but not a passporter.

Wow. Judgmental... No one knows the OP's personal situation so commenting on it is a little out of line IMO.

Lets try and keep things friendly here folks.:goodvibes

Sorry but I don't think OP was out of order to comment on how inappropriate it was for original poster to request that a disboards member break copy write infringement and supply them with an ebook that costs 8 bucks for free when it means person is planning a wedding across the pond that will cost thousands. I think this thread should be locked and if poster wants a book buy it or read all the threads and research the info........

No one is judging anyone else's financials, moral convictions perhaps..

I do think it was inappropirate for the original poster to ask for a free copy of the e-book but at the same time she probably did not realise that the author is a frequent poster of these boards! I think it was mean to suggest she was a bad person for this - how many of you have borrowed books/ or got free downloads from friends?! I dont think it was fair to comment on a persons financial situations - especially in todays economic climate!!It is the original posters business how she spends her money maybe she is broke because she wants a WDW wedding and is saving up!!It was unfair to suggest that she shouldn't have a WDW wedding if she cant buy a book!!!
Instead people could have just politely told them that this was not an accepted convention on this site and that in order to get the information she wanted that she could ask questions on the forum which people would help to answer!
I have noticed that people on these boards are very quick to judge and offer their opinion somewhat too readily and often rudely!

To the original poster - Most people on this forum are lovely and will quite happily answer any questions you might have if you post a question on the main forum!Maybe next month you could buy the passporters book if your situation eases as it really is a brilliant buy!!Plus the author Carrie (aka lurkyloo) is a brillaint writer and really is the font of all knowledge when it comes to a WDW wedding!!

lurkyloo is great , she has answered almost every question I posted , always has several suggestion !
The book is also a great tool , I would splurge , it helped me with many things I was confused about or simply didn't know , it's a constant go to guide along with these boards :goodvibes
I hope that things look up for you financially , as a bride on a budget , I can understand it's not easy , good luck to you

And back to the original question..... We have our escape wedding on october 4th and are from the uk....we don't get annual passes, we get a 7 day pass, which we upgraded to 14 day for £22 each :thumbsup2

We've booked ours through virgin weddings if that might make a difference :confused3 after all we get a longer limo hire because of virgin

If you book the wedding through Disney directly, as US brides do, you get the same 'perks' (I.e. AP's). It used to be that international brides also got their low res. photo cd free too, but I believe that has been extended to include US brides now too.

Booking through a travel agent you don't get the ap vouchers, but you do get the cd and 2 extra hours limo service for some reason :confused3.

Capt_atomic your ticket deal must have been a virgin specific perk. I know thomsons don't offer this.

I assure you that the tips and tricks on ways to save money in carries book will greatly outweigh thecost of the book itself. It really is a lifesaver.

Yes, it is her business but she shared her business on a personal forum which opened her up to responses. I do not see where anyone suggested that she shouldn't have a DFTW. I said I was surprised, that is all. And it is surprising because a DFTW costs thousands. I wasn't trying to be offensive at all.

OP, I think you should buy the book. It will pay for itself many times over. Think of it as an investment. I apologize if my comment was offensive.

Hey fellow UK bride!

We are having a wishes wedding and have the annual pass, not sure what you get for escape. We get married in September and this forum has been a great help to get a vision of our big day!

Happy planning!

Kirsty

I would like to (kindly) add that the OP i believe, was not breaking any copyright infringement laws. Seeing as she asked for it to be shared for free and was not paying for it...legally- its okay. Morally- i guess that is up to the individual. (Lawyers-correct me if im wrong. i would appreciate it)

And if those of you out there choose to slay someone, do it by private message, if you must do it at all. Its in bad taste to reprimand, put down, and criticize someone on the boards for their personal situations and choices.
Please. It is not what i am looking for when i read the boards..

If it's copyright infringement to share digital music, it's the same copyright infringement to share digital books. Borrow is different from have. You can legally lend certain digital books that you purchase IF the provider allows for it.

And if you're shocked at the treatment of the OP, you must not spend much time on the community board.

OH man. That makes these boards seem soo vicous! Are you hinting that the treatment on the boards is...unsavory?
