The Commercial Irritation Thread

The commercials I hate most tend to be local ones, especially if there is yelling involved. Don't yell at me! I will seriously change the channel! If you live in the Buffalo area, you know what I'm talking about. Nationwide Warehouse, Airport Plaze Jewlers (ugh!! that stupid chicken!) American Freight, and the dumb HUGE! Fucillo guy. Sometimes I just mute it, but if I'm really crabby I change the channel. So there.

I hate yelling commercials too. I don't live in Buffalo, but there are yelling commercials in every city. Mostly they yell about cars and furniture. Really tacky furniture.

There is one commercial that just bothers me to no extent. It is here in California and it is for youneedcollege.com, so I understand the intent, I am not complaining about that but the commercial just annoys me. It is of a girl badly lip syncing and dancing like a nitwit. She bugs me.

The current one is a radio commercial for some sort of face cream, featuring a series of men testifying that their wives use the face cream and look "20 years younger" and "just like when I first met her."

The winner for "worst commercials of all time" is Quiznos for the singing dead hamsters AND the suggestively talking oven.

Oh my gosh the cialis one leaves me puzzled too I can't understand for the life of me the two bathtubs side by side, huh?
The grossest one has to be the old pedegg commercial when the lady dumps the skin she just took off of her foot, into an empy black garbage can with nothing in it! Eck! That skeeves me out to no end.

I have another:

THe Kay jewelers one where the man and woman are inside the cabin while it's storming outside. She gets frightened by the lightning, and turns to him to hold her. Him: "I've got you. And I always will." and then blah blah buy our ugly jewelry, and then her "Never let go, I won't."

UGH! Are they intentionally bad actors or what? Did William Shatner direct? WHat is happening?! They're both awful actors!

The guy in that commercial is kind of creepy. It's like watching a horror film with the stormy woods and the psychotic boyfriend.

UGH! I forgot about all the annoying jewlery commercials. The thunderstorm one is soooooooo laughable. She is scared and jumps into his strong loving arms??? Oh please

Then the Jared commercials drive me crazy. "He went to Jared!! He went to Jared??? He went to Jared!!!"

I TOTALLY agree with the Kay jewelers; both the stormy night one and the newer ice skating one, UUUGH. Lame lame lame.

Now when it come to the STUPID OLD NAVY adds with the manequins well I do not even try to rationalize that one. It is just plain stupid

These disgust me too. I'm very glad I don't watch TV very much, and when I do, it's DVR'ed usually!

Mine is a radio commercial. It is for a product that is supposed to help people with tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and they play this horrid screeching/ringing sound in the commercial. I always have to turn the volume down. What, are they trying to give people tinnitus? Sheesh.
