Professor Collins: The professor called attention. "Well, thank you all for being here tonight. It was wonderful to meet you all and to host you. I would like to personally thank the geniuses behind tonight's fireworks, the students worked really hard and were very creative with their abilities. I also want to thank all of the parents for supporting these students and caring about their education. My personal helicopter pilot is on hand ready to take you back to the mainland when you wish."

Serefima: Serefima sighed, then laughed. "You're too modest." She listened to the Professor's announcement. "Well that'd be the first time I've been called a genius," she laughed. She watched all the good-byes and farewells and felt a pit fashion in her stomach. She pushed it away. Not now. Not here.

But before she got too far she paused at where Daniel stood and said in a low voice so no one else would here "now, you take care of my granddaughter" she said casually.

Rose: After Rose had gone she smiled to herself thinking about River. She had a good feeling that Daniel and her were a couple, or at least liked each other a lot. She first wondered when Daniel introduced himself and called River his friend, and by the expression her granddaughter took to that, and then how she had spoken to him before talking to her about her parents, and she felt that it was confirmed by the looks they gave each other over the course of the night. She didn't know why they would keep it a secret. But she knew not to pry, she had to let River have her own life and make her own decisions. She realized that now.
