The Coin Mint @ the Lost Contient

I can't get it, it keeps locking up but I did finally find a video on you tube for you. These guys are really great. All three of our kids did it and loved it. They really stay in character. If you have ever been to a Renaissance Festival it is the same thing :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pf1bE8ZVV20 I haven't watched the whole video yet but they did have the boys ring the gong.

Also, there is a scan of the sheet showing the designs on here somewhere but of course Search is disabled right now :(

It's so cool looking! I can't wait to do it! Went to a Renaissance Festival a couple years ago but they had nothing like that!

I hope search comes back on soon so that I can find that sheet. Maybe it's on Google somewhere.

One final question, do all the coins look the same, regardless of what type of metal you choose?

Can't wait to try it! I hope I can film it when I go.

Thanks!

Darn it. Search is back up, and I've tried as many keywords as I can think of. Still no sign of the designs.

I hope they'll turn up.

I've decided I gotta get one of these on my next visit. If I can remember to, I will also get video of the process :)

If anyone has and pics to share of what they got at the Coin Mint, I'd love to see them.

And can anybody confirm that Magical Kingdom's prices are recent? Or if they've changed?

Thanks!

I don't have any pictures, but I bought a silver one about two years ago. It came with a black cord and has a butterfly on one side and a castle with a dragon on the other (strange combo I know, but I wanted something to remind me of Harry Potter and my name means butterfly:rotfl:). I'm not sure how much I paid for it, but don't believe it was quite $94.95. I'm thinking more like $85.00.:confused3 The bronze ones were twenty something and the gold ones were about $145.00, so the Magic Kingdom's prices do look about right for those two.

MIL got one of the lesser expensive metals (I don't want to say "cheap" because it was actually quite nice) and it was about $25. She got a fairy on one side and a frong on the other. She did not urchase the chain but just stuck with the black cord. The process was quick and we actually didn't get to see it. She was "decidinig" if she wanted one and before we knew it she came back with it. I'd say 10 minutes at the most, but we were engrossed in our HP loot so I might not be the best judge of time! :)

Ok, good. I found another video of the place and the person did a bronze coin for the cameraperson, and right after the type of metal was chosen, he told him it would be $22.50 I think. I guess I'm going to stick with bronze (I have a list of HP merch I want :rotfl2:).

If anyone can find the designs, that'd be wondeful!

It looks amazing! I cannot wait to do it!

I hope someone can find those designs soon. I'll have a lot of trouble deciding once I get there.

Maybe if nobody find them soon, I could scan the sheet and post it here!

My group was in such a rush that we skipped it. If the ban of going off without another member of the group hadn't been in place, believe you me, I would've high-tailed it over there and gotten one done while the other girls in my group spent 15-20 minutes shopping in the little store near Posiedon's Fury (I was really thinking about doing it, but since no one in the group was interested, and also because I didn't really see it when we got into the Lost Continent, I just skipped it).

If we ever make it back and the it's still around, I'll make it a point to visit tje Coin Mint.
