Sounds fun. What's cooking on the grill?

A burger, hot dog and a cold pepsi sounds good.

That's exactly what we are having NC Beast. I was thinking of making some new things and inviting my cousin and her family over, along with my aunty, uncle, and aunty's mom, but my parents have a gathering to attend, so they will be tired when they return, so will just make things easy for the night.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY CoffeHousers!

Been quite a few days since I've popped in here, hope you all are doing fine and all having a good holiday....lots of hot dogs, hamburgers and other yummy traditional cookout fare!

Well, I'm off to make some deviled eggs.

TTFN

Can you believe were actually not doing out of the ordinary today?
Were going to Church and will light off a few kiddie fireworks tonight lol. All of our friends are out of town and were just hanging out.

Happy Fourth of July to all of you. I'm just waiting for my stepson to eat breakfast then I'm on my way to the store. The tug boat workers are on a strike here and since we live on an island, things need to either be brought in by the barge or flown in. During the strike, many people stock up on toilet paper, rice, and the basics, but today I'm planning on getting my stock of soda. Can't go without that Pepsi.
After I come home, I am going to make some salad and also some shrimp kabobs for the grill. Hum, what type of cake or pie should I get for dessert? Or should I go along with ice cream?
Hope you all have a nice day.

Ice cream sounds like a great choice to me. Hopefully the strike won't last too long.

Hi all, I saw Spiderman2 with DW, Great movie, but it screamed SEQUEL!!!!!

We had Fried Chicken like we always do on the 4th, and now settling down to Dis.

See Ya'll

:bounce:

My husband and stepson had seen Spiderman 2 last night and they both liked it. I am not a movie person but the night before, we had rented Honey and Bad Santa. I really liked Honey.

What is Honey about? I don't think I have heard of it before.

It's a movie starring Jessica Alba and it's a dance movie with hip hop dancing. She teaches a hip hop class and was discovered by a music video director, so she dances in a video and also moved on to choreograph...but there was a twist when she didn't do what the director wanted from her and she no longer was the choreographer for a video...she was trying to raise money for a dance place so that she could teach her class since the place that her mom had was ruined, and at the end, the kids had a benefit concert to raise the money by dancing and she was able to get the building.

It's a dance like video-the most similar dance video that I have seen to compare it with is Saved the Last Dance. Did you see that one starring Julia Styles? Loved that one also.

Thanks! No, I haven't seen that one either. I don't watch too many movies.

Hi everybody. Happy 4th of July.

NC Belle and I are watching Independence Day. Earlier we watched Sea Biscuit and Mona Lisa Smiles. Good movies.

Honey sounds interesting. Maybe we'll get it from Netflix.

Is Spiderman as good as it's cracked up to be? We're considering going to see it in the next couple of days.

Hi, just got home from Spiderman 2. Loved it It has lots of 'story' to it.....very character driven, not just all action. There is a definite conclusion, but it does have a set up for #3 (a #4 is planned also). The only people who might be dissapointed would be someone looking for non-stop action.

Yum, just had some chocolate french silk pie. It was very rich so I needed to drink alot of water, but I love chocolate. Waiting for DH to finish helping his son with a multiplication problem, then we will go back outside to play more fireworks.

NC Beast-after watching Honey, if you do that is, then let me know what you think of it.

Where is everyone? Anyone like to have a cold beverage with me.

:wave2: NC Beast. I had an early morning and is now getting tired at 8:05am. I think I'll have a cup of nice hot chocolate.
We have decided to have my daughter's party next month, so is trying to put things together-STRESSFUL.

mommytotwo, what kind of party, how old is the Daughter... Chuck-E-Cheeses, or a Bowling Alley?

I'll take a low-fat low-foam Latte

:bounce:

ohanafamily-My daughter will be two years old, so the bowling wouldn't work. I would love to have it at Chuck-E Cheese, but we don't have one here . That would have us alot of planning time and money.
I am going to put together some games and have been planning out the menu.
