We went yesterday. WOW!!! What a show! Beautiful, spectacular, fabulous, awe-inspiring, etc. I can't think of enough adjectives to describe just how wonderful I thought it was. A delight in every sense of the word.

If you're going this season, lucky you! If you're on the fence about going, GO! It's one of the best shows I've ever seen anywhere.

We were thinking about catching it this year when it comes to town (mid-Dec. I think). We didn't have a chance to see it last year, but timing-wise, this year might be better. :)

I agree...it's a most spectacular show!
I have seen it many times in the past and highly recommend it to anyone who may have the chance to see it.
Years back I was good friends with someone who was the private chauffeur for RCMH's president....I had basically free access to the music hall for whatever/whenever I wanted. The Christmas show was something I was drawn to again and again. One of my favorite things to do was spend some time downstairs with the live animals :) Great memories :)

The last time I went was in 1988 or '89. I believe they change it some every year.

This year, they gave out cardboard 3-D glasses with the programs. The 3-D glasses were for the start of the show--Santa's sleigh ride from the North Pole to Radio City.

It was an animated film shown on a screen. Wow, it was so great! Santa flew around the Statute of Liberty when he got to New York, and they chatted a bit. So cute!

Then he came through Times Square and said hello to Geoffrey the giraffe at the TS Toys R Us store. (Toys R Us is a show sponsor.)

He came into Radio City Music Hall and then there he was, live on stage in a sleigh pulled by live reindeer. What a beginning!

The Rockettes' costumes were breathtaking, too. They did eight separate numbers and even sang in a couple of them. One scene had them playing mannequins in the windows of Saks Fifth Avenue. It was just beautiful. :D

I've seen the show several times. we're thinking of going again this year --- we have an offer for 1/2 price tickets. my dd's know several former Rockettes and now we know a current Rockette as well, so it's a real thrill to see them dance.

Our local Parks & Rec assoc. is doing a bus trip up there for the day on Dec. 21st. We were just talking about it last night and wondering if we could afford the $95 apiece to go since we have both always wanted to see that show and never have. Guess we'll just have to wait and see how much is left after Dis Con!!

I have always wanted to go to NYC to see this show! One of these days I'm going to go!

We'll be there 11/21. Can't wait. I have not seen it in a good ten years or so, plus it will be my dd's first time seeing it. Got a great deal on tix. 2 orchestra seats for $64 total!

Hopefully they still have the live nativity seen at the end
I had tears in my eyes it was just so beautiful
we might go in dec to see it
I have not been in several years

We going the weekend after Christmas. And we're sitting in the "Roxy" seats!! ....... When we did a tour of Radio City Music Hall last year, we were told that the first row in the middle of the mezanine level was the favorite seat of the builder of the hall, 'Roxy' Rothafel. When they went on sale this year, I called the very first morning and took those seats for the Christmas Spectacular. For those of you that are going to be in NYC or are going to see the show, I highly recommend the tour of Radio City Music Hall. You have to book it in advance and it's an extra charge but it's absolutely fascinating! You learn all about the history of the hall, the stage and it's workings, go behind the scenes and even meet one of the Rockettes. It's great fun!

We have been fortunate enough to see them for the last 4 years in the Chicagoland area. It is a wonderful show and sadly enough this is their final year in this area. We have taken DS8 every year and he has been very attentive. We took DS1 last year and will again this year (everyone, regardless of age, needs a ticket). We're expecting the same type of attentiveness. I know it's a costly evening but we go during the week which is a little less pricey. It is a very special memory for us and our family tradition for the past several years. Next year we will miss not seeing them. Even DS8 has commented about it. Hopefully they will renew their contract for our area.
It is a fabulous show -- even if we don't get to see it in NYC.

My brother-in-law's wife's uncle, as a christmas gift to his family (nieces, nephews, son in laws, daughter in laws, his own sisters and brothers, grandchildren, etc) sends everyone up to NYC for the day. He charters a bus, pays for the show and also for dinner afterwards! What a guy--wish he was my uncle!

There is always at least 50 family (give or take 2 or 3) members in attendance every year! I wonder what that costs him?

Yes it is a very good show I have enjoyed seeing it over the years, it is especially good when you can take a child (like we did last year) and see the expressions on their face-- just like their first trip to Disney. It is also great to take a special someone to enjoy the show with and maybe stop and see the tree and or take a carriage ride thru Central Park ;)
