I'm trying to save my mom some money.

What's the cheapest hotel near Disneyland that isn't a complete roach motel? :lmao:

I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks, guys! :)

When is she going? Does she have an Entertainment Discount Book? Does she have AAA? There are quite a few decent hotels in the area, most are even rather nice. And it really depends on when your going and if she can get a discount on how the rates will be. Is walkability an issue, does she want to drive and park, does she want to take a shuttle? Anyone can start listing off hotels for you willy nilly, but it all kind of depends on what you want to get out of the hotel to really make good suggestions.

It'll be my mom, my sister, and I. We should be getting in California at about six or so. We'll stay that night, go to Disneyland the next day, stay from open to close, and then get up the next day and head home.

Entertainment Discount Book...I think so. The big honkin' book with loads of coupons, for food, entertainment, etc, with color coded pages? Then yes. AAA, no.

We're going this Friday, through Sunday. Walkability isn't an issue, no. Last we were there, we didn't drive and park at DL, we took a shuttle one day, walked the other. (We had to stay at a hotel farther down the street from Disney, because we were at a hotel that took dogs, and that hotel was far from it).

We just want a clean, safe place to sleep at night, and take showers, really.

:)

you should do you homework first. ;)

id just call around and ask for an entertainment rate.

Try the search engine kayak.com for hotels in anaheim. Spring break is going on for the next few weeks so finding a hotel for this friday might be a little difficult, especially if you don't want to spend a lot. We like hojo's, tropicana, best western park place inn, del sol inn and park vue inn. It might be difficult finding a hotel for under a $100.

You can try for the entertainment rate at Hojo, but it may not be available for Spring break.

Try the discount code SD50 on the Howard Johnson web site. If the rate is available you should get a room for $59.00. Nice big clean rooms with a fridg. 8 min. walking to the Disney ticket booth. Give it a shot.

There is a hmmm is it a Comfort Inn, that the manager posts on here? They go the extra mile to serve??

You're heading into peak Spring Break, so you are probably going to find even the cheapest hotels have elevated prices, and potentially no availability.

Here are some cheap but clean places I'd try:

Anaheim Plaza Inn
Del Sol
Islander Inn
Motel 6
La Quinta

You can find their locations and links on this map:

THIS Friday?? We're going up Thursday and Friday, and the hotels were booked! Do a search on Kayak and see what comes up. Kayak searches lots of other websites and you go to the appropriate website to actually book. We ended up at Candlewood suites, which is right off DisneyWay by the I-5. I think it is a newer hotel, and I believe it takes dogs. (not sure if you're bringing your dog this trip) It was over $100 a night.

Good luck with your search! Let us know what you find.

The Anaheim Hilton has been popping up on or around your dates for $46-7 on Priceline. Also Anaheim Maingate has been turning up (just turned into a Red Lion property) for $35 in the 2 star category.

We are staying at the Ramada Inn Maingate for $98 a night.Have not ever stayed there but it is right accros the street, and the price was right!:cheer2:

Usually Priceline will get you the cheapest rate. For just a place to sleep, you can do 1* for around $35 per night. The Extended Stay America is the only 1* I've seen come up-we stayed there once and it was clean and ok. We usually do 3*, though, when we go for anywhere from $50-$65 per night. If you've never used Priceline, go to a website called bidding for travel . com . You can check what people are getting on what dates, and you should read the FAQ's to learn the tricks of bidding. :)

Ah. Too much stuff is going on this weekend, so we're most likely going next weekend. But now my dad is going with us, so we don't need that cheap a hotel now.

Thanks, guys.

You'll still need to start looking now for a place to stay next weekend. Still Spring Break peak (Easter weekend), so overpriced hotel rooms and sold-out hotels will be the norm, even with Daddy Warbucks coming. . . :rolleyes1

I see...

Oh, and our dog will be with us.

So we're gonna hafta get a hotel that takes dogs. (Eh, we'll probably end up going to the one we stayed at last time.)
