I decided my sis has lost her marbles..

Called her to remind her of the free day at the zoo (Smithsonian Museum Day, many museums and zoos are participating.. free admission tomorrow). I had told her about it earlier this week, she was all excited and wrote it on her calendar for all of us to go together.

Fast forward tonight to tell her-- we are going in the morning.

She replies:
Ohh to the Children's Museum (it's free one day a month)

Me: ahhh NO (my kids are teens, can you picture them at a children's museum??) The MN Zoo, part of Museum day .. ... trying to jog her memory.

Sis: well, M has to work. Not sure what we are doing this weekend. My science museum pass expires, that would be fun .. we could go to the movie.. blah blah blah... not sure if I want to go alone with the boys.

me: (groan, it's yes or no sis .. yes or no.. can't go to Science Museum, that costs $50 for membership if we have the discout card.. C'mon sis) uhh, yeah.. that would be hard to go without M to help.

Sis: oh, are you inviting me? Are you saying we should go or just telling me about Museum Day?

Me: (getting irritated) well, It's not like I'm holding a gun to your head and saying you must go with us.. it's up to you .. it's free.

sis: oh, well I have to talk to the boys and see what they want.. blah blah blah.. talking to her kidlets blah blah
Me: well, I'm leaving in the morning. Now I'm going to watch the debate.

Sis: oh? That's on today?

I swear she has lost it!

I mean her calendar is her lifeline .. it's not that she wrote and then never looked at it again, she ueses it everyday to keep track of appointments.

Hubby thought it was weird too. It's free, so ummm why would I inivite her?? KWIM?

it's "are you joining us for this free thing or not".

Now if we were offering to pay , or she would have to pay .. then that makes sense to have an "invite"

Well I wanted to get up early, but DH didn't. I need his help on a few things since I really don't have any idea what I'm doing. Not to mention that I had to wait for debate shop to open this morning so I can get my fishing license.

Not to mention that the lake we are going to is approximately 3 minutes from our house. I'm not really concerned about catching something right now, so no need to be up at the crack of dawn. I'm just more practicing casting and if something happens to end up on the hook all the better!

Now tomorrow morning might be different. DH and the kids are getting up early tomorrow to race, so I might just get up early and go fishing as well.
