OMG all the pennies!!! ALL the pennies!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: After dh explained the economics of pressing pennies. I said its just pennies. He said yeah, it cost a dollar each time, 50 cents per kid!!! That adds up! I alread put 2 rolls of quarters into M&M containers and I dont have nearly enough pennies yet. :scared1:
Trust me, I KNOW!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I am not exaggerating when I say we lost probably 30 pressed pennies with the battery incident.

The lost ziploc bag I'd say we lost at least 15, maybe more. I had deliberately picked up the ones we ruined from the first trip, the ones that were going to be so meaningful, like Splash for DS8's first ride at DL, and Winnie the Pooh for DS4's first ride, Goofy for their favorite character, etc. :headache:

OMG Dizzy, they really do think you are serious! WOW. Now they will be mad to find out its a joke I bet you $10. :lmao:

I was just thinking that... These women are going to rip you a new one. Its not FUNNY... You are horrid for even SAYING it... Picture me saying this with a really whiny voice...:lmao:

Yay!!! Dizzy, somebody 'got it'! :yay:

Though don't be surprised if the ones who believed you are a little peeved... :rolleyes1

I still cant believe anyone would ever think this was real and not a response to her other thread. gee.

Geesh.... Yeah. Someone is REALLY going to leave their 5yo just chillin at the gates. Some one MIGHT. But bad parents generally DONT advertise.

They're going to be mad because
A) They don't know that you'd never do something like this, and
B) I bet you ANYTHING that some idiot parent HAS done stuff like this! :scared1:

Geesh... Freaking idiots. Yeah. Someone is REALLY going to leave their 5yo just chillin at the gates. Some one MIGHT. But bad parents generally DONT advertise.

I honestly really did not think it was believable. Adding the little  I figured surely people would know I was kidding.

And I agree with the other posters....what kind of idiot would leave a young child alone at the gates :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

I know, Shawna, she sounds like she's hoping with all her might that no one would even think of doing that. ;)

I asked DS8's teacher if she'd like me to bring popsicles to school today. The weather's been in the mid-70s and the kids have been so hot at recess, so other moms have been doing that.

She said sure, and I wasn't thinking, it's their early release day. So I have to wake DS4 in a bit (he'll hopefully have slept at least half an hour, THAT should be fun!) and rush out to the school.

Wow - her comments are scary - I guess it is really not uncommon to leave a kid like that???
I'm telling you! Some people were never meant to be parents. :sad2:
You hear it on the news all the time, people that left their kids to go out clubbing, and the apartment burns down. That little British girl in Portugal who got kidnapped when her parents went out to dinner and left their kids unattended at their condo. My brother used to live in a neighborhood where a little guy, maybe 3 or 4yo would come by every day and beg to be let in and then beg for food. His dad was a single parent and worked nights, but apparently let the kid run loose during the day while he slept. It was very sad and sickening.

I think what she is saying is that people let their kids play outside by themselves at that age.
