We had a bassinet with DD, she slept in it for a few weeks and then we started putting her in the crib. However, she did use it for her dollies and stuffed animals when she was little.

When DS was born, I took a drawer out of the bottom of our dresser, put some blankies in it and set it on the trunk at the end of our bed. DD (6 at the time) was horrified...you can't let a baby sleep in a dresser drawer! Sure we can, it's not like we're leaving it in the dresser and pushing the drawer in and shutting him up at night!

I once traveled in a box from Oklahoma to Washington. In a BOX. In the BACK of a pick up truck. I am not kidding. Of course my sister was with me, and the box was mainly for passing back and forth through the window... and there was a canopy. But still.. can you imagine? That was high class livin I tell ya!

And my kids wont immediately drop dead if I dont spend $250. per infant car seat... RIGHT??? I can get the $80. ones... RIGHT???

What??? It is totally acceptable to abandon them at 5, but not spend $250 each on a car seat

And, no, they will be fine. I bought cheap car seats for both of mine.....

My sister called me telling me about this woman she saw who had twins.. In Peg Perego Stroller.. Do you know how spendy those things are????? Plus car seats?? OMG. The STROLLER is $800. The car seats are $250. EACH. Ummmmm... No thanks.

Mine survived in a Fisher Price car seat that was passed from Morgan to Jake. They are lucky to be alive. We also bought a Graco stroller. I'm such a bad mom.

I like the stroller. It doesnt look too big. Dont get the side by side or you will be shooting yourself.

If they are not too expensive I'd get 2. See if you can get some in garage sales or such to offset the cost. Or get one at first and see if they both like it. Jake loved the swing but Morgan hated it so you might have one like it and 1 hate it. If they both love it then you can get stuff done with 2 swings!

You might want to wait... at least until I hit my third trimester.
