Good morning, hyenas!
I cannot believe this! It is SUNNY!!! (A bit chilly, though...)

Dropped the boys off at their respective schools... When DS4 went to put his coat and backpack in his cubby, we found a somewhat large spider residing there. DS4 started to flip out a bit, so I just grabbed him and his stuff and said, "Let's go tell [teacher]."

We wandered over to his teacher, and then when she turned to him, his eyes got HUUUUUGE and he told her there was a spider. She said, "OK, well go hang up your stuff..." I said, "It's IN his cubby." Oh!

I thought this part was awesome! Though I'm not a fan of spiders AT ALL...

She calls all the kids over to see the spider, then grabbed a small Dixie cup to capture it. She then held the cup out to each child so they could see the spider (I woulda freaked, she held it out to DS first, RIGHT under his nose!), then the spider crawled up and onto the outside of the cup and touched her hand.

She was so calm, just jostled the cup a bit and got the spider back in, then put another cup upside down on top of the first cup and put it on the counter. She said, "This is great! We'll talk about spiders later today, OK?"

Love, love, love her! (And I am glad I didn't follow my first instinct, which would have been to get a paper towel or shoe and smash the thing to smithereens!)

Mornin gals! YEP.. I JUST woke up. Well... Not really. I was up around 4 this morning, and stayed up until the hubby got home, and Alex went off to school. We talked about going to Great Wolf... and I told him about all the stuff i had read on it, and it just sounded so fun! They have a kids spa, and I thought it would be fun to take Mikalah in for a mani-pedi.. She would SO DIG that! Alex will dig the Arcade.... Im looking forward to it.

Geesh... I managed to get a cake in the oven, and do the dishes! What the heck did you have for lunch?

OMG!!! They have a Buzz Lightyear costume for MEN on the disney website. I am SO buying the for Frelan!!! Cant you just SEE him dressed up like Buzz Lightyear?????

Geesh... I managed to get a cake in the oven, and do the dishes! What the heck did you have for lunch?

Ooooo, cake? What kinda cake???

Oh, right... what took me so long? Well, see... Yesterday I boiled a bunch of eggs. Or was that Monday? Anyway, I can never remember whether you're supposed to use fresh eggs or older eggs to get ones that peel easily. I had older ones, so NOW I know the fresh ones must be the ones to use.

So I laboriously peeled two eggs and made some egg salad, then made myself a sandwich, threw on some tortilla chips, and poured myself a root beer! I'm livin' the high life today, I tells ya!

Well, who am I kidding? I know exactly how to talk him into it.
I'm just not sure I could keep a straight face.

Seriously, though, my boys (especially DS4) would go NUTS to see Daddy in one of those!!!

I know.. My kids would go buck wild. But he would NEVER wear it. In a million years.

We are talking about taking our next family vacation to Disneyland in October of 2010... We LOVE going at Halloween time. Better then Christmas time I think.. I think Frelan is getting excited about getting the kids all in matching costumes or something. Like THAT is going to happen. ANYHOO... Can you just see two cute little babies in matching costumes?? Well... 2 cute little one and a half year olds, anyhow.

So I had been to the store last week, and needed eggs. They had them on sale, but they were the huge 18 packs, and they were two for the price of one. So YES, my cheap butt bought 36 eggs.

So I got to thinking this week, "GEE, we still have a lotta eggs! I should boil some!" Last Easter DS8 discovered he LOVES boiled eggs. DH does, too, but he really shouldn't eat more than one or two a week.

I had just shy of 36 eggs by then, so I think I boiled maybe 18-20, leaving about a dozen raw. DS8 keeps begging to eat an egg or two, but it's always JUST AFTER he's eaten his afternoon snack (before dinner), or when we're on the way out the door somewhere. So to date, I've had 5 or 6, and he's had none.
