The Celebrity Apprentice 2

I felt sorry for Dennis Rodman last night but am glad to see him go. Trump said himself that he had him and Joan Rivers on there hoping that they would go head to head. At the end, I was so glad that Dennis gave in a gave Joan, Melissa and one of the blondes a hug before he left. Did you notice that they did not show him leaving the building or talking in the car. It was a voice over. I bet most of his language would have been bleeps anyway.

They did show him leaving the building and getting in the car.:confused3 Can't remember what he said though. I remember him being pretty calm.

While I'm not surprised dennis finally got the boot, and quite pleased about it, I am surprised at the very public "intervention." I do think everyone handled such a delicate situation, under the given circumstances very well. You could tell they all were uncomfortable having to do it.

I'm wondering if Jessie was actually being very kind and not disclosing Dennis has more than just a drinking problem. The way he got absolutely hyper at times, it seems he might be jacked up on cocaine, too.

I hope this is the push Dennis needs to get some real help. Although, he likes to go of on these persecution complexes he has, where people are threatened & out to get him. :sad2:

It was sad how he kept referring to his past NBA successes and Hershel had to tell him it's about what & who he is today. In a way, he really needed to hear that from another athlete. It might not have gone through otherwise.

I have a whole new respect for Jesse James(I never knew much about him before), :worship:what a true gentleman. He was so moved by Dennis' predicament - wow. Sandra Bullock picked a real winner :thumbsup2.

I thought everyone presented their views of the situation with great care. I'm with the poster who said that I think James held back - you really can't fool a recovered addict.

agnes!

I wonder if Dennis regrets doing the show, since it showed the world
his problems. However, there is a saying that goes something like
there is no such thing as bad publicity.

The cynic in me wonders if the drinking was a coverup for other drug use, and the very public intervention is so that when he goes to rehab everybody will think it's for booze.

He seemed a bit "too" cooperative for somebody being ganged up on like that.

Trump has very publicly said many times his own older brother, Fred, died from alcoholism. He claims he never drinks alcohol becasue he's seen how it destroys. So there is a possibility there was a lot edited out of the show, than what we finally saw, with both Trump, who Dennis does respect, and Jesse, a recovering alcoholic himself, who as someone else mentioned, can spot all the excuses, reasons & defensiveness, doing most of the intervention.

They did show a rather subdued Dennis in the car afterwards. He looked like he had some stuff he was mentally chewing on, rather than going into his usual defensive ranting. And in the voiceover & interview that was obviously taped later, Dennis actually says, don't rule him out yet.

If he IS able to sincerely and successfully rehab, he could turn this around publicity-wise to become a good role model.

Tionne said on the radio today that Dennis left cussing out everyone in the cast.... :rolleyes1 He made sure he let everyone HAVE it.

I swear he acts like a spoiled teenager...:sad2:

I serious hope he gets help because he's screaming for it. He has issues and he needs to get that monkey off his back.

I agree about Jesse, he was total coolness last night. It's important that he came from a point of understanding, not just judgement. It was really sad. :guilty:

I come from an alcoholic family, also, and he acts almost exactly like my aunt when she's drunk. First loud and happy, then very nasty and agressive. It's hard to watch. :sad1:

I have to agree that Jesse was really a class act last night. One can only hope that this type intervention has a positive effect on Dennis. I thought it was handled pretty well.

I agree, too. At one point I thought he had tears in his eyes.

I thought I saw the same thing in Jesse's eyes. Jesse is a class act. I don't think anything will stop Dennis until he hits rock bottom. He's still having fun and doesn't think his drinking is interfering with his life or associations with people - and it hasn't. People for some reason put up with him. Until the industry, his pals, the press, etc turns their back on him and if he'd ever run into legal or money trouble I'm afraid that he'll continue to be the same abusing guy he's been since he was playing ball regularly. It's his calling card - the bad-boy, abusing image. Without it I'll bet he thinks he won't have anything. It's so sad, but I think people will respect and look up to him much more than they do now if he'd get clean.

I totally agree. I've read about him here and there, about him building bikes and being married to Sandra Bullock. After watching this, he seems like a real nice person, someone you could kick back and hang out with.

great show... wow

And if it's true that Dennis cussed everyone out, it was very cool for them to just show the hugs, and have it all be dignified, on air anyway.

Yes, Jesse is a real class act. I loved his reaction when the plot of Equus was explained to him.

I agree that the show was most likely edited to show Denis is the best light possible. However, there is no way to make any of his action look OK.

This weeks episode was something else, wasn't it?

I agree that it was probably edited extremely delicately to assure Dennis wasn't totally humiliated. Unlike other reality shows where they would have made the person look as bad as possible, i.e., Surreal Life, etc.

However, I think Dennis has a destructive personality. And Man, he loves his cranberry and vodkas, doesn't he? I really hope he gets the help he needs and soon.

As a side note, the hotel guests had to be hired actors. Do any hotel guests act that way? I have stayed in many fantastic 5 star resorts and those guests were over the top, imo. I did LOL though when Dennis got in the car with them to take them to Tao, to funny!

Who is this Jesse James guy? I really like him a lot and don't really know anything about who he is other than being married to Sandra.

I felt sorry for Dennis, what a reck he has made of his life, the way Clint Black was going on about really liking Dennis, lets me know that he can't stand him...lol

I don't know if they were actors but they had a camera crew INSIDE their rooms so hey knew to play it up. I'm sure they were thrilled!

I love Jesse James. He is awesome. We have watched his show forever. Just a really good guy. So quiet yet so awesome and cool.

I think Dennis Rodman is one HUGE GIGANTIC BABY. He is in complete DENIAL. The show must have had a camera on him all day as he went around getting drinks from everyone all over that hotel. :sad2: Why did he even bring up Phil Jackson? That was years ago...Phil Jackson's comments about him as a basketball player have NOTHING to do with Celebrity Apprentice. :confused3 That was 10+ years ago.

That scene with the cookies from Carnegie with Brian and then he dumps them all back in the box and gives them away.......... IDIOT.

Dennis should have been gone TWO episodes again. I was surprised Khloe K. did not jump in....she was back home in CA (that day she was missing from the show) handling her own drunk driving issues. She said on her show she has learned ALLOT from that very unsettling incident in her young life. Too bad she did not chime in. BUT at the same time, all of the viewing audience saw enough. I am sure that is why the rest of Dennis' team did not say more.

I thought for a minute, wow, Dennis is really a good project manager...well that went right out the door after he started drinking...which appeared to be very early in the day. :headache:

Wow, how could Donald fire Tionne? She did nothing wrong. I must admit I didn't like either videos tonight. Melissa's team should've left the profanity out at the end. They would've won and Tionne would've still been there. Clint was awful!!!
